It's that time of year again and as I did last year, I would once more like to shout out some black coiners // liomoqai creators! If you are or know anyone who you think deserves a shout out, please tag them in the replies! Below will be tagged a few creators from last year + some new ones as both an easy reference for myself as well as to ask for a signal boost if able! On the main post I also plan to be placing links to help those directly affected by the political terrorism of ICE, so if anyone has resources they'd like to share I would greatly appreciate that as well. OK hi welcome to below the cut, I just wanted to clarify something we're doing different from last year but didn't want to take away from the main part of the post so we don't have an elephant in the room situation So last year we refused to add coiners and creators who were anti-endo due to our policy of not reblogging from anti-endo creators at the time. While our stance on endogenic systems personally has not changed, our policies in fact have. We now reblog from anti-endo coiners quite freely! Therefore that policy will no longer be in affect on this new shout out. We debated on placing a disclaimer or something on the main post but idk that feels like it's in bad taste and would take away from boosting black queer voices and instead placing syscourse into it and I just don't think that's something good to do. Idk this part is kind of a ramble but yeah. tl;dr we will be listing black coiners no matter their views on syscourse, boosting black queer voices is more important than syscourse to me. Radqueer blogs are still unwelcome though obviously. That's all have a good day <33333

If you saw our post last night, due to our uncertainty and lack of full understanding of this change we have paused our queue. This will be in affect on all archive blogs I run. I apologize for this, especially considering I just got back from my short hiatus, but I genuinely don't know what to do and it seems most archivists are in a similar position. I wish I had something more to tell you, but I really don't have a clue on how I can go about this. It's not like this is a situation I've dealt with before where I have to choose between accessibility and the possibility of taking away important interaction from our coiners. As a disabled coiner myself I find myself very torn. Once more if anyone has ideas on how best to handle it, you can send us an ask, post it in the replies, etc. I apologize to all this may inconvenience.

New Update

[PT :: New Update]

Many of you are likely wondering where all the work I was putting on this blog is. The black history post, the website work, even just extra archiving, etc. I apologize for not being on top of these things but I have reason.

Our dog, Izzy, has been diagnosed with intestinal cancer. There is no treatment, it was too aggressive and spread too quickly. The only treatment was 10k and would extend her life 6 months, the entire time she would be on chemo anyways which would just cause her more pain.

I have not been handling this well by any means, obviously. So sadly this has taken a back burner while we deal with all these emotions with our family. I hope for your understanding and thank you greatly for your patience.

Love you, take your meds, drink water, have a snack. Hug the animals in your life for me.

Hello Gang im not formatting this bc its midnight

we at this point have no idea what to do with the archive, obviously posts need translations and flags need IDs but with how the transphobic hellstaff is moving I am genuinely worried about taking away from coiners by posting PT's and ID's

Terrible decision all around. I hate it here. If anyone has advice on how we should handle this that'd be nice!

Elaboration :: I've been worrying lately that I've been going overboard with my tagging system. For example, when a term relates to say dogs the tags for that are "animals, mammals, canines, dogs" which I fear may get in the way of someone who say just wants terms about animals and not a specific one. But also going back and just making my best judgement makes me worry that I'm getting rid of the accessibility of the archive. So I need user input for this one!
