um
I don’t know
it’s Cakelos
AU where Junpei posts a craigslist ad looking for two hot singles to get in a threesome with on a dare from a college buddy (probably sigma lol) but he actually gets responses and ends up dating akane and carlos after they meet the first time
junpei’s too bi for this shit.png
(for those who can’t read my handwriting it says “shit they’re hot”)
i spent longer on that background than i really should have
good idea: carlos and aoi becoming friends and bonding over being sort of brothers/fathers for their little sisters after bad shit (tm) happened to them
carlos is one of those characters where i love him so much that everytime i see his face, im just like “i fucking hate him he’s so adorable how is he this fucking cute i hate this so much”
like how did they manage to make such a good son i love him
concept: C-team soul mate colourblindness AU, one of the ones where everything’s black and white until you meet your soul mate, and you lose your colour vision when they die.
when Junpei first meets Akane, he’s really confused because suddenly he can see colour, but it’s nothing like what people normally describe it as. It’s nowhere near as bright, and after his parents take him to an optometrist, they realize that he’s actually still partially colourblind. This happens sometimes, and nobody quite knows why, but he’s just happy enough that him and Kanny were meant to be.
but then she gets kidnapped for the first nonary game, and all of a sudden Junpei’s vision gets really strange. Some days it’s the same as usual, but others he’s fully colourblind again. Most of the time, it’s just even more limited colour than normal, and again, nobody can explain why this is happening. However, he gets used to it, and as he grows older he just accepts that his vision is probably just naturally weird.
When the nonary game happens, and he meets akane again, he expects his vision to change, but it doesn’t. It doesn’t until the end. When Akane dies, his vision finally goes straight back to full non-colour vision, and when she lives, it’s back to full semi-colourblindness.
So imagine his confusion when he arrives at Dcom, Sees Carlos and Akane, and all of a sudden he can see full colour for the first time in his life.
Like, imagine him actually freaking out later that night when he’s alone, he starts to tear up, because he figures something changed and seeing Akane finally fixed his vision now that she was fully alive. But then he talks to carlos, and realizes that Carlos can now see colour too, and he’s incredibly “??????????????????” because the idea of having more than one soul mate is something he’s never heard of before.
so just imagine him at the end of the game, having proposed to akane in an alternate timeline, needing to explain “oh by the way i was partially colourblind until i saw carlos and he was able to see colour when he saw me so someone explain this please” and akane’s just like “well that must mean you love more than one person, jumpy”
alternate concept: in any timeline where junpei dies in the nonary game, it actually makes Carlos’s vision worse. He loses a lot of his peripheral vision but he doesn’t tell anyone about it, and continues as a firefighter. I imagine this’d probably lead to him getting injured in a fire befor anyone realizes, and just scolding him like crazy for not telling anyone
today, on very important parts of fic writing:
“N-no way! Is this… is this the Funyarinpa? I didn’t know it could be a copper plate!”
“Funyarinpa…?”
Yes, Carlos had taken the bait. Junpei supressed a gleeful smile, and turned on his quickly.
“What? Carlos, do you not know? Do you seriously not know what the Funyarinpa is?
“U-um… am I supposed to?”
Junpei gave a sad, soft sigh, and shook his head.
“To think, you really don’t know…” His demeanor shifted again, and he pointed at Carlos with an accusatory stare. “Apologize! Say you’re sorry to the Funyarinpa! God, you are such a rude man…”
Carlos was looking back and forth between Junpei and Aoi, clearly too flustered to know what was going on.
“W-well, um…”
“Don’t, Carlos. He’s fucking with you.”
