I made another thing, and some people (who will remain nameless even though I might accidentally tag them) are enablers, whether or not they know it.
@alamogirl80 is writing a lovely fic called And I'll Follow the Light in You and, regardless of how much I STINKING LOVE IT (seriously, there's angst and already softness and *chef's kiss*) it also has ARC Wooley. @anstarwar did ART for it, which is also swoon worthy, and since... well, I have problems telling myself no sometimes...
I did a thing.
Meet my thing.
He's a foot tall (1:6 scale), plus the base, and he is so god-forsaken EXTRA I can't even. Also @imrowanartist is an enabler also, if I didn't mention. "Does he need stripes on his backpack?" I ask after spending at least a week screeching about how evil dazzle camo is. "... does he not?" is the response. Seriously, I'm not going to get into dazzle camo, and mad props to y'all for drawing it, but it will be a cold day on Hoth before I paint it again on this scale.
Anyways. Go read the fic and see what I used for reference (it has the art!). I also think I used something from @cacodaemonia as reference, but hells if I can find it right now.
(The colors are a bit washed because I had to take the pictures with my flash on because I live in The Great White North - can't take them outside because of snow glare, and the light in my apartment is mediocre.)
e: his dazzle cam isn't in the star pattern because I am actually physically incapable of drawing a star. I tried. You would not believe how many layers of paint is on that kama.
I don’t have the faintest clue what this creature is. If you know, please leave it in the comments. The only thing I do know is that she had to be this color. I love it! Except now I can’t find a dark or medium green blue for her hair. I might need to buy another bottle of paint...
Heading over to the hobby store to get some paint. Glad I remembered because I’m really thirsty
The thing I like about using Tamiya acrylic model paint: It dries really fast.

In other words it's great if you're using it straight from the jar. But it's not so great if you have it in small quantities because you had to mix colors.
