Spencer is a vampire. This is my new dumb hc and I love it.
Vampire!Reid warming his cold undead body with a morning coffee/tea. He doesn’t like people touching him anyway but in case someone does accidentally touch him, they won’t feel how cold he is.
He also has a silver ring with a ring of lapis lazuli threaded through it, which is his daylight ring and allows him to function as close to as a regular person as everyone else.
He rarely, if ever, feeds directly from people (like biting them) and instead has compelled a george town medical lab to provide him with blood bags each week. A total of 14, which is enough for two feeds a day which is enough to get by. He craves more, ofc, but he’s been around long enough to control it.
And then on a case, they’re trapped in a random cabin when they get snowed in by a blizzard on their way to the airport.
The whole team is trapped and they have to wait the storm out.
After a few hours pass since Reid should have had his next feed, the team notice him declining. He’s more than hangry, he’s almost murderous. He needs to feed and he can’t and he’s stuck in a house with 5 humans every primal instinct is screaming at him to rip apart.
He keeps himself away from them, hoping the distance will somehow fix his urges. That’s when Emily comes to him she outrightly asks “how long have we got before your hunger wins and you attack us?”
And he looks ashamed and hurt and embarrassed all at once. He’s hugging himself and he tells her, “I’m not going to hurt you, any of you, ever.”
But Emily knows he can’t control it once the primal instincts take over. She offers herself to him.
“No,” he breathes, desperate and pleading. A mixture of yes he wants this and no he doesn’t want them to see that side of him.
They know he’s a vampire, its their best kept secret from the world.
(Ok my hand is hurting like an absolute bitch so imma leave it there lol)

BUT this just reminds me of stuff that @ssa-sarahsunshine has been posting about vampire! Reid, so I'm tagging her cause this would be right up her alley I think!
But yesss, Spencer wants to feed but there is absolutely no way he is feeding from the only people who love him and the people who want to protect him most in the world.
Yet at the same time, the team know he's losing control and they're trying to think of all these solutions while he slowly loses his grip on this terrifying reality.
He also never wants to do it because he never wants to have to remember him doing it, it would just totally lead him to hating himself even more than he already does, and defs pulling away from the team even though they beg him not to.
Oof I have more thoughts but the drugs in this drip are really kicking my butt. It's also 2 am so...
