I didn't know Taylor Tomlinson's new stand up special was going to be about her mental illness & trust issues. But once I found out, I was like:
Because I didn't know how BAD I needed it until it was in front of me. To hear someone else verbalize the deep pain that can turn to lifelong remorse unless you find a way to laugh it down. She started a joke about a suicide hotline experience with "This one time, I was sobbing on the floor of a DoubleTree-" and I caught myself grinning like Been there, This'll be good
Her comedic timing is on point, and the whole show feels like it flies by (if you can relate to what she's saying; she openly admits that people who were well-supported by their families probably didn't enjoy her dark humor)
