how to use your energy as an offering to Aphrodite

someone asked me recently what it means to offer your energy to aphrodite. our conversation stayed with me, so i wanted to take a moment to expand on that here.

not every offering needs to be physical. sometimes devotion can simply be in the energy you share, the way you move through your day with love, joy, and intention.

if you’re in a good mood, share that light with her. smile at yourself in the mirror, speak kindly to others, and let your happiness be something you offer up

and when your energy feels heavy, that can still be devotion too. as you wash your face or bathe, imagine cleansing away the doubts, the worry, or the negativity you’ve picked up. say softly:

“as i rinse this away, i make space for beauty and love to return.”

every single act can carry meaning if you let it.

• pour your coffee or tea with gratitude. take a breath, thank her for another morning, and let the warmth remind you of her gentle and comforting prescence. when you feel that warm gratitude, send it her way.

• when you feel peace, send it toward her. imagine that a soft pink glow is leaving your heart, a thank-you for her presence.

Aphrodite’s love is balanced. it glows and it soothes. both joy and healing are beautiful offerings.

• when you feel low, care for yourself in her spirit. brush your hair, drink water, or rest, knowing that taking care of yourself honors her too. Aphrodite wants you to treat yourself with love.

a way i like to think is that i ask for her calming energy, so it would be kind of me to give some in return.

take care of yourself, and let every kind act be an offering toward her. 🕊️

Morning Reflection

Jesus

The older I get the more my relationship with Jesus as a figure continues to change. Atp I see him as a mystic teacher and an encouragement for my own work, a healing space, somewhere/one I feel understood. I also though feel like Jesus as a concept transcends a single human figure. The heart of truth and of love can be and will be embodied by so many (tho that level of skill as a mage won’t but ya know).

Like Jesus wasn’t saying that they are the only way, but that they bring the way, that Love is the way

Jesus wasn’t saying follow the church and man’s doctrine but to know God for yourself and to break those societal rules where they aren’t right or just. So I think my view of Jesus will always be different. Idk if they ever walked or not and I’ll never call them my savior. I think it’s beautiful if Jesus keeps you, it’s just not my relationship space. I think a lot of people genuinely love him, but I think more people use him. A lot of folks will say “Jesus” but aren’t moving in the Divine Heart. People say “Jesus” but aren’t moving with compassion. Mfs got proverbs & psalms in the bio but hate women, trans folks, Black folks, sex workers, service workers, anyone impoverished or disabled.

I have a beautiful relationship with Jesus and it’s one I am often resistant to because Christianity is not something I’ve ever wanted to be attached to. Catholicism is a space I mostly want to tear apart most days. Organized religion on this scale is a danger not an asset.

Jesus wasn’t asking folks to blindly follow him as an authority regarding who will be loved by God or not according to how they follow laws. Jesus’ message was that God is the ultimate redeemer, allowing us to experience for ourselves within ourselves Divine Grace. And when we KNOW that Divine Grace we may even be a vessel to extend it! Not to fucking lord over someone with the threat of their soul’s well-being but to, without control or attachment to the other party’s beliefs, offer LOVE.

(Tbh I feel more protective of Jesus than anything. People spew blood and lies and then go pray control and restriction at an altar where they glorify a man’s worst moments. People purporting to follow Jesus more often than not are following their own assholes)

And when I see and hear evil in Jesus’ name then I know you do not know or love God. You can’t love God and condone abuse in their name.

God enjoys when I swear, God enjoys when I fuck, God enjoys when I weep and pray at the altar and let my rage out even if I direct it at them.

And if God is too big a concept, or a wound space, then there are Ancestors. You have Dead folks, angels, saints, nature spirits. If Jesus is an essential figure for your psyche to operate with then recognize they will still move in non biblical ways.

So anyway

That’s my periodic mention of Jesus. I wouldn’t be in this space without him and I love him dearly but you won’t see me doing much in his name. I want Jesus to get some fucking rest. Can’t lean on a dead man and won’t step up for yourself.

And I would like to end this thread by saying a lot of this is more contextually related to the white idea of Jesus and the abusive church view of Jesus.

Veiling & Intention

veiling is the practice of covering your hair (or part of it) with purpose as a sign of respect, devotion, or sacred focus 🌷

people have practiced veiling for thousands of years in temples, rituals, and daily life. it’s been used by priestesses, brides, mourners, and devotees across many cultures. while the meanings shift, the heart of it stays the same: intention, humility, and connection

in modern devotional practice, veiling can look like anything that feels right for you.

a hair bow or ribbon (especially if you’re closeted)

a braid

a soft scarf or shawl for prayer, journaling, etc

some veil only during meditation or offerings, while others do it during their menstrual cycle: a time seen as sacred, symbolizing renewal and deep connection to self.

before buying scarves or fabrics, try veiling with what you already have. feel the energy, the calm, the focus it brings.

veiling isn’t about appearance. it’s about presence, respect, and devotion 🤍
