Inspired by the subdued sophistication in the clothes and presentation of this new found designer, Christophe Lemaire. In a noisy atmosphere of bloggers, bling, and patterns, they offer a different kind of sublime living that I hope to personally achieve. The fabrics can translate to the silhouettes of Japanese denim workwear with big jackets and tie strings or the Harem pant that Haider Ackerman repopularized not seen since the 80's Madonna movement.

The palette is soft but the shapes are smartly cut and I'm excited to see how these can be worn as both daywear and dressed up for nightwear. I think the trend is meshing to pull back and give women something that is classic, modern and sexy as redefined here. The legging, jegging and spiky heel is shifting towards preppy shoes reintroduced by Prada with a flowing trouser with less ballooning.

Like glaciers melting and taking centuries to change in shape, quickly transforming in the last decade, fashions silhouette is a chameleon that only takes a season to morph and come back again. The slouchy pant is a metaphor for this year to not be so rigid. Trying to be more open, moving more fluidly, softer and creating a sense of form that shifts with other happenings and in an environment that is constantly evolving.
