美國芝加哥美術館 – Modern Wing

  建於1892年，在芝加哥世界博覽會結束之後，1893年搬進現址的芝加哥美術館（Art Institute of Chicago, 簡稱 SIC）是目前美國中西部佔地最廣，收藏量也數一數二的美術館。它的館藏很廣，其中比較著名的是它的印象派畫作收藏。除了本館以外，在2009年五月新開幕的 Modern Wing，由曾經設計過巴黎龐畢度中心，以及日本關西機場的義大利建築大師 Renzo Piano操刀，這個新建築的落成也讓芝加哥美術館變成全美第二大美術館。目前芝加哥美術館把二十以及二十一世紀的作品放在這棟建築裡面。 (more…)
