♡💝💚 alfie and jacob

♡: who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?

i think jacob is honestly on account of the fact that alfie has a hard time functioning as a Real Human Being. not that alfie can’t be romantic either, but his romantic tendencies are more practical. his love language is probably acts of service, so he’s apt to do favors for jacob and try to help him out however he can! even die for jacob if need be! i imagine jacob is more intimate in the sense that he’ll go out of his way to plan a little night where he makes them cheese toasties, and they’d just spend time together without any talk of (alfie’s) work or the fact that they’re a month behind on rent. jacob is the only person that can really comfort alfie and remind him to Breathe. so yea, i don’t imagine either of them doing crazy romantic gestures, but i do think the little things they do are very romantic.

💝: who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?

i think alfie stresses over it a bit more because he’s a perfectionist and he considers it a high-risk situation because he wants to make jacob happy. he knows they don’t really share the same taste in things and he’d die if he gave jacob something he’d hate or find boring, so alfie will literally make a spreadsheet of possible gift ideas and score them in different ways to calculate the Perfect Gift? jacob probably whips out something sentimental and amazing without a second thought bc he knows alfie very well, which probably stresses alfie out even more….

💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

alfie because he works too hard and is always stressed, thus his immune system’s always taking a fucking beating. he’ll usually work through a cold or headache or whatever, but like i mentioned before jacob reminds him to Breathe (and Heal). jacob will literally force alfie away from his work, get him into bed and bring him tea or soup and you know, it’s one of the few times where jacob is being the grownup in the situation and he’s damn good at it. whenever jacob gets sick, alfie probably goes overboard with the different megadoses of vitamins he forces down jacob’s throat but trust me, he cares VERY much.

A♥️ - who was the first person your muse ever fell in love with?

eileen. when they first got together, it was fresh and new and exciting. i don’t think dominic minded her ““quirks”” 2 much back then bc she was unpredictable and elusive, and he found that very sexy. he had a certain vision of their relationship ( and of his future in general ), so at the very least, it was easy for him to follow her lead when the possibilities were endless. obviously his visions did not came 2 fruition. as the years dragged on, her unpredictability turned into irritation on his part and the fact that she’d keep him at the distance just fuckin’ hurt. he’s gotten stretched out thin and it’s hard for him to admit that she’s one of the Problems contributing a great deal to it. he’s already brokenhearted in a way, but the admittance would just make it more raw and real? 

4♣️ - what does your muse have the most passion for?

ah, nothing really. i feel like he mostly does things at this point to get them done rather than pursue anything worthwhile. as long as his mom’s not going off the rails, and franklin’s taken care of, then dominic’s content. he just got a part-time supervisor position at the discount rodeo, and that got him a lil’ hype. sad.

4♦️ - is your muse more of the patient or instant gratification type?

patient, mostly ‘cause he had to be all his life. his mother got all the instant gratification and dominic was mostly on the sidelines to pick up the pieces. he’s always played the waiting game in his life, and at this point, he’s just accepted that *dominic vc* it is what it is.

Q♠️ - does your muse manipulate others easily or are they easily manipulated?

neither. dominic’s able to hold is ground pretty well, but i will say eileen’s able to manipulate him very well, so maybe neither was the wrong option at least when it comes to her? he’d never manipulate anyone else tho ‘cause that’s just not Very cool, and dominic always tries 2 do the right thing.

yea! even though he likes 2 think of himself as a future ( indie ) rockstar of sorts, he’s a sucker for a Solid relationship. he loves intimacy, and the ability 2 just vibe with someone for hours on end. god, he loves relationships. he’d love to have one someday.

💗 has my muse ever been in love?

he was in love with a girl back home for a bit, lydia bauer. she was a Cool Chick, and he was sorta obsessed with the idea of being with her. they were friends first, and that’s when he fell in love with her ( or, at least, it felt that way ). at some point along the way, they ended up hooking up and after that, things got shaky for multiple of reasons. there was never any formal conclusion to it all, which sucked mostly bc he lost a Friend.

💘: who developed a crush on the other first?

andrei. val’s beautiful and successful, and when andrei saw her, he couldn’t breathe? but yea, for andrei, i imagine it was sort of a ‘love at first sight’ ordeal. he was at the bar with some of his pals, and once he saw her, he ditched them and spent the whole night trying to impress and woo her. at the end of the night, he did manage to get her number, and yea…he was so fucking pleased with himself.

💓: who initiates most physical contact?

andrei. just think he’s sort of obsessed with her and i do think he has the tendency to get caught up in his work at times, but coming home, all he wants to do is cuddle with her or f*ck. at fancy parties, i imagine they pretty much stand side-by-side, his arm around her shoulders and hers around his waist, and i’d say maybe val initiates that more so bc she’s able to just get in there!

💜: who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?

val. they were in a rough point in their relationship bc it’s really hard being in a relationship with someone who’s trying to pursue medicine. it was around the time when andrei was in residency. he was working long hours, probably not giving her the attention she deserved bc he was so burned out. a part of andrei was super terrified that val wouldn’t get it – his friends in the same residency were getting dumped by their significant others bc of those aforementioned issues. yet, the one night that week when they actually got time to spend time together, val reassured him that she’d always stand by his side no matter what and it was just a couple more years, but most importantly, she said she loved him. 😌that’s when andrei decided he was going to marry that woman!

i think bruno. not that delilah wasn’t fully in love with him at that point – it was just that she was still caught up on the fact that he was seeing someone else, while trying to pretend that she didn’t care about that lil’ fact. of course, when bruno said ily, she said it back immediately bc at the end of the day there’s only one person she’d rather be drinking chai and watching the sunset on the roof with.

ღ: who is more likely to initiate hand-holding in public?

they both probably do, but delilah a little bit more. she believes that Human Touch is the most powerful way u can share raw emotion without words, so her preference? to always be skin 2 skin with bruno.

💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

i feel like bruno gets more sick in the sense that he’s the one mostly likely to wake up in their room with a raging hangover from the night before. lucky for them, delilah’s always there with her specialty hangover cure tea, a couple of advil, and a lot of water. she’s probably the person that’s better at that kind of caring. it just helps that she has an insane amount of teas and herbs with specific healing properties that she loves to combine together for bruno? i wanna say that bruno does care in their own way as well. maybe if delilah’s feeling like crap one night, they’ll order in soup for her and cuddle instead of going out to meet thot 2.0.

january 3rd, 5:03 am. they’re a few days past a fresh start, falling together and then apart the usual way. he’s quiet, picking his clothes up from her bedroom floor, careful not to disturb her. he figures a text would be sufficient enough; it’s a way mitigate the guilt that comes along with leaving. he doesn’t want to leave, but it’s better than unwanted conversations – unwanted truths, really, if jonah was honest with himself. he’s grabbed his shirt when her meek tone fills the room, and he wonders when it’d all become so hard to stomach. he continues, undisturbed, pulling the shirt over his head, buying time until he takes her fully in. there’s not much he can say in return, nothing that’d be worth anything. their history was proof enough. it was their thing, and this time it was holly’s turn to pull the plug, not that he hadn’t helped set it all in motion. he leans in from his side of the bed, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “guess we’re masochists,” he murmurs, a non-committal smile at his lips. in a moment’s time, he’s already pulled away, moving to grab his jacket strewn across her chair. “get some sleep, holls. we’ll talk later, yeah?”

moss agate: if my muse has a high or low opinion of themself.

he has a p high opinion of himself. not in a totally obnoxiously cocky or arrogant way, but he genuinely is pretty good at what he does (maybe not in execution cuz i’m not funny, but preston is :/). also just in general, he’s someone who’s comfortable with his current place in life bc he has goals set out for himself and yea he works at a superstore, but u know, it’s just a small step in the grand plan life has in store for him.

carnelian: an art-related headcanon.

he’s creative when it comes to developing skits and writing jokes. in terms of other forms of art, i don’t think he really does art-art, but he definitely uses music for inspiration. he plays the ukulele because he’s quirky!

garnet: what my muse’s perfect partner would be.

someone who’s funny n cute. he also likes people who are able to mellow out his need to go 100 miles per hr. all in all, i feel like preston’s someone who can mesh with most people but he’s not into ppl who are always negative or mean or uptight for no reason.  :-)
