I had painted over my modrock and then used newspaper strips to remove the paint excess. Taking the excess paint away let the newspaper underneath it bleed through slighly but the white paint brought back the modrock-like qualities.

Developing the wall.

After my previous experiment of using PVA and water mix with newspaper to ‘paper mache’ the wall, I realised the quality in the wall had changed so much it losts its dusty, wall like look and feeling so I decided to paint over it but it seemed painting over it didn’t let the newspaper seep through as much as I thought it would, so I accidentally found out whilst I was painting, there was too much excess paint so I’d use strips of newspaper to remove the excess and when I had peeled the newspaper and waited a few minutes, it had left an impression of the newspaper or bits of it left over which I liked, letting the previous layer seep through as well as building a layer of left over bits of newspaper. I’ll upload a video of me doing this seperately but here are the photos of the outcome!
