10. What were you doing at midnight last night?

considering you sent this at 2am last night, I will answer for both yesterday and the day before: last night, I was watching the artist is present and talking to a few people (you included). the night before, I saw you!! we were having tea and rum and a good talk (and other nice things)!! that was so lovely. :3

38. What is the color of your socks?

I’m currently wearing grey thermal ones (with white and red trimming) and dark blue ones underneath (the dark blue ones with little tiny white dots on them)

56. What do you like on your toast?

this’ll get rambly... this really depends on my mood! today I had just ham, that was nice (sometimes I add pickles). cheese wise, I like either cream cheeses (laughing cow or brie) or things like cheddar and swiss. I also like having smoked salmon on my toast, and sometimes I’ll make those fancy and add spinach and cucumbers and tomato. this morning I had toast and jam. sometimes I just eat toast in hummus, or toast with hummus and cucumber

... I guess I really like toast. 

62. What is your favorite letter of the alphabet?

the easy answer is “m”, because that’s a lovely tag on my blog filled with happy things. ;)

15 things that make me happy

I was tagged by reintoxic :3

1. My friends in real life and on here. The number of people I consider friends went down dramatically earlier this year and the ones I have left have helped keep me somewhat sane whether they realize that or not.

2. Music. Making music, listening to music, just music. It's my passion and gives me a feeling of purpose.

3. Certain members of my family. Some of my family just stresses me out but my parents, a lot of my cousins, and some others are amazing.

4. Reading. When I'm reading a great book and the story sucks me in, it's such an amazing feeling. I love being immersed in other worlds, lives, ect.

5. That's also why I love video games so much. Not only do I get to be immersed in the story I actually participate and help shape said story.

6. Learning new and interesting things. Maybe this makes me a nerd but I truly feel that knowledge makes my life richer.

7. Being able to help people. I can't always do something but when I can it's a really great feeling.

8. Creating. Writing, making music, anything. Having a creative outlet is essential for me and the satisfaction of having created is amazing.

9. Animals make me really happy. Playing with my kitties is so much fun and I feel so special when any of them or my dog decide to snuggle. lol

10. Walking through forest preserves. It's so pretty, calming, and I need to do it more often.

11. Trips to downtown Chicago. When I say I love the city, you have no idea how much I mean it.

12. When me and my sister get along. I mean really get along. We used to constantly fight so when we can hang out and laugh and be like friends it makes me happy.

13. Good food. It's great and would make anyone happy. lol

14. The fact that even though I'm still dealing with the kinds of feelings that made me self harm in the first place I haven't actually self harmed in about 4 years now.

15. Silly people. I believe that there are times when you have to be serious but I also think this world is overly serious and silliness is really under-appreciated. It's constantly written off as immature but I love seeing people who can be unapologetically silly.

Finding out that I'd been accepted into Carleton. One of the reasons I applied to schools so far away from home was that I needed to get out of my house; knowing that at least one school wanted me meant that I could leave.

2. How did you and your first significant other get together? (If you’ve never been with anyone, tell me about the first person you fell in love with.)

We were cuddling on a couch in his basement and I asked him what we were and he was like we could be dating and I was like sure and then we were.

3. Describe your perfect day. 

Bananagrams.

4. When did someone last help you when you really needed it? What did they do? 

I'm a desperately ungrateful person apparently because I can't think of the last time I desperately needed help. 

5. Tell me about your best friend(s). 

She's pretty awesome, and even though to be perfectly honest, she hasn't been the most loyal friend, she knows her flaws and she knows her failings. I'd trust her with my life, because despite her shortcomings, if I really needed her, I know I could depend on her.

I've known him for 7 years now and I know that I can tell him anything I could ever want to say. I would go to the ends of the earth for him. 

6. Do you believe in soul mates or true love? 

Yes I do, but I also don't believe they are eternal or concrete. Someone may be your soul mate today but they might not be in 20 years or 20 days.
