Personally(and bear in mind, I might also be speaking for my own Tarnished), the fact that we have the option of coming clean to Ansbach about that -- I DO feel like the Tarnished was moved by Ansbach's devotion to Mohg -- maybe even be remorseful to have killed someone who might not have been all there due to the enchantment?
Why else would we have the option? Remorse? Attachment?
Also, hell, Mohg meeting Thiollier and taking a liking toward him(It's the mask. And the "weak as a kitten" thing).
And, with Trina's passing(I admit I have a lot of thoughts about her and Mohg, but that's for another time), Mohg might feel even more inclined to take Thiollier under his wing.
And the Tarnished...
... He remembers. He remembers all too well.
... He's also seen the look on their face. The awkwardness. The pity... The comradery they have with Ansbach.
... Maybe something more than might make Mohg jealous... But in the end, Mohg is where Ansbach's heart ultimately lies.
Still, there are moments where the Tarnished spends time with the Lord of Blood himself... Seeing him up close. He sees that look of wonder in their eyes. How their eyes light up when they touch the feathers of his wings.
... It's endearing when the three of them are leaning against him. Relaxed to that point of shutting their eyes.
Its not just one person who loves him. It's three... And he loves them in return.
I haven't had that convo with Ansbach yet! But I would choose to come clean to him too. I respect him too much (and more fangirling. He is probably tired of me because I kept randomly going to the grace site outside of Belurat and being like "Hi! Hi friend!" because I don't want to miss any of his quest stuff).
Also with Trina gone... I don't know. With all his talk of "sleep eternal" when you "grow weary of life;" I feel like Thiollier could probably use some direction and a family to help him through his grief. He too is now finding himself with no place to call home.
Assuming the Tarnished knows very little about lore or past memory or anything before they awoke, I think they would be very interested to get to know the Lord of Blood that would earn the loyalty of a knight like Ansbach.
And make it four! He might get a little weird about it but undoubtedly Varré loves Mohg too. 🙂
uhhhh ummmm ugghhh
Soon, my love
