People fairly point out that even with Mohg being manipulated by Miquella, he still started a wacky gross blood cult, conducting all sorts of atrocities.

but I had a thought: Given the fact that Ansbach was one of Mohgs original knights, meaning he was likely there from the start, and what struck me is just how SANE & level-headed he is (I mean, he even doesn't blame us for killing Mohg). he isn't even Creepy like Varre.

the fact that he was his greatest knight is pretty thought provoking.

leads me to believe that Mohg's kingdom was less fucked before Miquella if someone as sane as Ansbach was one of his head honchos.

and if Mohg was already crazy, why would Ansbach be so compelled and Desperate to try and 1v1 Miquella, a demigod, to desperately try and save Mohg, that means that he probably saw the dynasty declining as Miquella's influence wrecked things. Not to mention that there aren't any pureblood knights running around in the base game... meaning that some kind of Decline happened that saw the knights get killed off.

its telling you need a pureblood knight medallion to see Mohg, but there aren't any pureblood knights around anymore....

maybe mohg's place is in such a bad state when we arrive because Mohg's gone off the deep end and has started to neglect things after being brainwashed, and underwent some sort of decline.

Sorry I'm bout to show my favoritism,, but is it possible to get some Mohg stuff in here? I was able to see some hints of the dreamer in the pre shattering visiting the omen twins, and some of Miquella's feelings unintentionally warping Mohg's own feelings due to the manipulation. But what would his actual emotions be if we were to pull back the layers? He's already such a layered character despite a harsh upbringing he's oddly polite welcoming the tarnished. I feel like perhaps with news of the dreamer's return he would have Varré search for them and perhaps attempt to have him persuade the tarnished to bring the dreamer to the meeting ground more intensely (of course if you aren't comfortable writing for Mohg I totally understand and I love the concepts you are playing with here and hope you have a lovely day!)

I totally could see Miquella's feelings affecting Mohg in minor ways. Maybe it's not exactly the same way Miquella cares for Dreamer, but I do think that aspects of Miquella's feelings carry over.

What makes Mohg such a difficult character is that we don't really know much about him outside of Miquella's control. I think the fact that he embraces his omen blood, unlike his brother, causes him to be more receptive of reader in comparison to Morgott, who pushes reader away out of fear of rejection. Mohg most likely was more inclined to interact with Dreamer before the Shattering and after, was partially distraught at their disappearance. I say partially since I imagine he doesn't connect with others well. Perhaps Miquella manipulated Mohg, along with his own powers, by making Mohg believe that Dreamer might bring him comfort once more if Miquella were to ascend. Regardless, I imagine that Dreamer reminds him of a comfort he was never allowed to have. Since his mother locked him deep below the capital, he craved love, even if he acts cold towards is.

And we can even believe that aspects of Mohg's feelings are intertwined with Radahn's when their body and souls and intwined. This only serves to help Miquella more since it's easier to use Dreamer to manipulate them.
