The more i think about the game the more I'm surprised i don't see as much conversation about the very prominent angles of motherhood present in it.
Hornet and her three mothers, Lace, her sibling, and their mother. Grand Mother Silk and the weavers, that whole fucked up plotline with the twisted child, that line about Hornet having had mates and the subsequent one line about her trying and failing to have children because of the weavers inability to have a non painful full term pregnancy.
There's a lot going on in this game but they really went in on that this game. Maybe it was just a bit buried because it was also paired with the religious themes and class inequality.
