frankly i am childish enough to vaguepost about someone on an entirely different platform. what do you mean moireyes is just “reaper is in love with his mean lesbian friend that scammed me and turned me into exhaust fumes” no. so tell me you haven’t paid any fucking attention to their lore without telling me because dear god you deserve a medal for this

first of all i can agree moira is into women more than she is into men. like i truly believe the one man she’d feel anything for is reaper. second of all she didn’t Scam him, she did fix him. now granted she didn’t fix him in a very ideal way but she did what she absolutely could and she is the only damn reason he’s alive now. yes, he’s hurting. no, she cannot do anything about it. but she TRIED. and he was probably great for her progress in science.

he needs her desperately because not only does she know him, inside and out, but he needs her approval and her attention. she’s a damn genius, she is not some average woman he met. i truly think to some extent he does fear her because she Knows Him Better Than He Knows Himself. forgive me for my self indulgent bullshit but i wouldn’t be shocked if reaper canonically had an identity disorder, and i think moira’s ability to observe him by herself is one of the only things keeping him stable. he is not some psycho overbearing man who would tear her apart for what she did to him, he’s smart, and calculated, and he knows that she did what she could!!! he’s well aware of what she is capable of and how that helps him, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MOIRA DOES NOT HAVE AN OBSTACLE KNOWN AS GABRIEL REYES IN HER WAY ANYMORE!!!!

when they were in blackwatch, he was her commander. she had to listen to him. he was another obstacle. he was in the way of her, and progress. now here he is before her, as her own little lab rat. it’s beautiful in a terrifying way.

it’s similar to how moira keeps widow emotionless with her own scientific abilities and manipulation. but he doesn’t need to be manipulated to be OBEDIENT!!! he wants that power and he wants to cause pain, he’s a terrorist for crying out loud.

but yeah whatever man they’re totally just “i’m in love with my mean lesbian friend who didn’t do shit for me.” ughhh it bugs me so bad because they’re not even necessarily in love, and i think to an extent moira loves reaper more than gabriel. sometimes they’re soft with each other but majority of the time they’ve very begrudgingly in love with one another. it’s an obsession, an attachment, a mutual one at that. they are this world’s poison and i cannot love them more than i already do for that.

Random talon hcs for fun (mostly about moira whoops)

Moira and mauga are drinking buddies, they dont really talk outside of drinking together but when they do theyre like best friends

Mostly because moira can only be friendly when shes had some alcohol in her system

Sombra and moira used to be best friends but after sigma and the rise of vendetta they had a gradual but nasty falling out

Moira realized sigma needed mental stimulation so she started getting him into gaming, his favorite games of all time are the outer wilds and kerbal space program

Sometimes moira plays co op games with sigma when shes more tolerant of him, these result in some of their few good bonding moments

She has a giant playlist of music she plays for him to drown out the melody. Its a mix of different genres but he especially likes soundtrack music

Hes a huge fan of the undertale and deltarune soundtracks

Moira often uses the outer wilds soundtrack to calm sigma down from anxiety attacks

Mauga and moira have shared secrets with each other nobody else knows, but they trust each other enough to keep them strictly between them

The drinking buddy bond is a sacred thing to them, something about samoan and irish drinking culture

They once challenged each other to drink as much as they could to see who had the highest tolerance, they called it a draw after 17 shots of whisky

Funnily enough moira doesnt normally drink a ton and neither does mauga, they get tipsy yeah but not much more usually

Moira and gabriel have a romantic thing going on but they refuse to say that aloud, mauga knows and teases moira about it lightly but only very rarely. He knows shed cut his throat if he said it to anyone else

Moira doesnt label her sexuality, shes attracted to whoever she likes regardless of gender

Sigma is demisexual and has been questioning his sexuality, the black hole messed it up lol

Mauga is pan but we all know this

Gabriel is bisexual and had a relationship with jack in the past but theyre bitter exes (this is also canon)

Gabe and moira are both radiohead fans and bond over their music a lot

I think moira and mercy had a light romance going on when moira was at overwatch but they rapidly had a falling out after moira got shunned for her practices

Moira knows how to play the violin but doesnt like playing for people, sometimes if she needs to shell play for sigma to ground him from a panic attack

Moira is a dnd dungeon master and regularly hosts dnd campaigns for talon
