Today is the Grab Bag day. Before getting started on the week in general, I pre-rolled my dice and chose my words to inspire my prompt.
My dice ended up being a 2, a 6, and a 3.
And the particular words that I chose were…
MAGIC…
KISS…
and
LIGHT…
These dice rolls and words then led to one idea…and this all takes place within an AU I have. (This is where my spoiler warning from Day 1 comes into motion.) An AU that is called… “Mickey, Oswald, Julius; The Three Sleeping Toons”.
CUE THE QUOTE!
…
“For true love conquers all!”
- Sleeping Beauty (1959)
This particular day was the one that took the most time to draw, not only because of my own actions and having to get references, but also because I actually had to draw a design for Minnie in this AU! Yep, you read that right. I had to design Minnie’s appearance before I could easily draw the main picture. And for this day in particular, let me tell it in a story-like way, because it’ll be easier for me.
Minerva Mystery (Minnie Mouse) had entered the room where her true love is; Prince Michel Mouse. (But everyone, including himself when awake, calls him Mickey.) A small light shines upon the sleeping mouse in the bed, dressed in red and gold, and a stuffed bear named Duffy within his arms. Seeing the sight in front of her surprised Minerva, but she soon remembered that she has to be the one to save him. She walked up towards the prince, her heart beating in her chest, before she was next to his side, followed by her gently giving him a kiss of consensual true love.
Her gloved hand gently placed upon his right hand as Minerva released the kiss, leaving a red lipstick mark on his cheek. It wasn’t too long after when a stream of golden magic formed from the mark, swirling around the two mice. This wasn’t just any normal magic, but rather the magic of true love; the magic that could break any curse within their world. And Minerva was proven to be the true love of Prince Michel with her kiss…
Now, I already know that you’re most likely confused about this AU. Don’t worry; I’ll have a separate post for it sometime after Mickey and Minnie Week is over. And the scene that was explained is only part of the curse breaking on only a third of the toons. (It’s also an early version of it and is VERY likely to change when it actually happens in the story.)

Minnie: …Mickey? Should we get out of these outfits and go somewhere else?
Mickey: Yes, Minnie. I already feel awkward about this. It makes me feel like a genderbent version of “Sleeping Minnie”!
Minnie: It actually does, now that you say it out loud, though I thought after 19 years, we’d forget about it.
Mickey: Hard to forget about it when it aired the day before our birthday.
Minnie: …Touché.
