did you just flip me off?!
thinking about the appeal these guys have for me... i love when the kids act like the dumb stupid crass little kids they are and i think i latch onto characters like Christophe and Gregory the most for this reason. it's cool and fun to draw them all rugged and badass... but realistically a kid that walks around with a rope and shovel all the time is going to look so stupid. that shovel is going to be huge that belt is huge that rope is huge. instead of looking like a cool badass kid who smokes cigarettes and hates god you just look like a dweeb. AND you're grounded by your mommy. so this was a quick attempt to sort of visualize what i mean.. and also just get used to drawing him again
saw this wonderful, wonderful shirt and knew i had to act on it
navigating how i wanna draw them again... i spent at least 30 minutes looking at old 16mm photographs from the 1950s and 60s for inspiration, i just think it's cute to lean into that Peanuts-y aesthetic
you're a fox
I don't know if you take requests, but could you please draw Pip for me?
i typically don't, BUT i've been needing an excuse to learn how to draw these characters again, and i like Pip, so here you go!!
