This afternoon was just what Gideon had needed after his last mission for the Order. He and Marlene had been out working for nearly a week, and the mission had been consistently dangerous the entire time he’d been gone. Even now that he was home, Gideon was having some trouble sleeping, trouble relaxing. Even now walking through the park with his sister and his nephews he couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that with every passing day there was more need for him to keep them close. There was more need for him to put himself at risk for them, and it would always be worth it.

Gideon looked at Molly and her kids and saw nothing but love and potential, and potential was such a beautiful and fragile thing in a world where others were fighting change. Thinking about it, he slipped his arm around his sister as they continued to walk, prompting Charlie to take her hand on her other side and Molly smiled, returning both touches. She asked with laughter in her voice, “aren’t you both affectionate today?” Though there was a sisterly-motherly sort of look in her eyes that suggested she knew Gideon wasn’t feeling too well, yet.

“Oh yes,” he agreed immediately with a quieter sort of grin than usual. He gave Molly a little squeeze. “Just getting to the thinking more today, that i’m a very lucky Gabian.”

“Molly rocket is very so the best sister. I’ve always been to the loving and the caring of her, and she’s always been so much of the encouraging and loving of me while we were growing up. She didn’t used to be trying to make me talk when I didn’t so very much want to be. We used to be to the fighting and the bickering much more when we were of the smaller sort, us and Fabian all, but now that we’re grown up and being the adults it’s happening so very less in a serious way and very so often in a teasing way. She makes life! Molly’s been to the making of five lives so far! This amazes me very so. Molly is the very best of a mother. She is my very best older sister.”
