Boomerang back at you! What form does your OCs’ glimmers take? And what of their fears?

For Marcel it is the Glimmer of Compassion it is a flock of glittering golden butterflies, he is driven to survive because there are others who depend on him. Marcel fear is the Fear of Past Failures a twisted broken thing that crawls along the floor on all four with heavy stones chained to it's back and weapons' pricing it's body. It look out at Marcel threw a vail of black hair with the faces of each person who had died holding Marcel's hands.

Nivek has the Glimmer of Creativity it a beaver, Nivek can't die here he was far to many projects to complete and far to much left to give to the world.

Nivek's fear is the Fear of Silence it is a bound thing it eyes, ears and mouth smother is white cloths. It's body empty dead space that such all the sound from a room leaving you along with only your thoughts for company.

Molycap's glimmer is the Glimmer of Wonder, it takes the form of a aven, Molycap is a fairly new being everything she interacts is wonderfully new and wonderfully terrifying in equal measures.

Molycap's fear is the Fear of the Deadhord, a mass of skeletons their metal skin melting into one another and crawling along with grasping hands. Molycap dose not know why she find this so scary she dose not even know what they are, but some primordial fear bubbles up deep within her spark.

Serrabeth's glimmer is the Gimmer of Adventure it's a parrot, Serrabeth is in the second wind of her life after being set free from Ixalan and there is so much more to see.

Serrabeth's fear is the Fear of Old Age, it is a decrepit thing practically mummified sitting in a rotting rocking chair wrapped in shawls. It cackles in a voice like dust at Serrabeth acting like a young woman when her time is so quickly approaching.

Segara glimmer of Glimmer of Confidence it is a peacock and it represents the confidences Segara has in himself to overcome this challenge and to meet the next one to head on.

Segara fear is the Fear of Confinement it is a gilded cage with a small emaciated bird trapped within. The cage is held by numerous ghostly hands that clutch it possessively.

Angelique has the Glimmer of Faith a small golden bird that sings with the faith Angelique has in herself and others.

Angelique fear is the Fear of Betrayal it appears almost human as it approaches. It is only when it is to late do you realize that it is nothing more then the lure of a far worse nightmare.

Valentino his glimmer is the Glimmer of Love, it takes the form of a pair of love birds that Valentino gave the names of the children he and Lenore had wanted.

Valentino's fear is the Fear of Loss, it thing made of empty air and morning mist that take the form of his wife Lenore. It look upon him with dead accessing eyes, as it whispers to him all his failures.

Anise has the Glimmer of Discovery it take the form of meerkats! There is nothing to be scared of once the mystery has been solved.

Anise has a Fear of the Unknow, you never really see it until it is to late, but you know it is there. Shadows that should not be there, a flash of something just outside your eyes, unplanned noises. As a member of the Obscura Anise knows, what you don't know can hurt you.

What creatures would your OCs be on Bloomburrow? :D

I have been meaning to get to this one, better late then never.

It was very hard to settle one what critter would be best for Marcel as I initially flip flopped between a rabbit and a swan. But I eventually settled on a sable after talking with a friend.

An elegant noodle boy with luxurious silver fur.

I feel Marcel would adapt unnaturally well to Bloomburrow as the magic of Floramore is transformative in nature so the threat of one day walking up as a woodland critter, is not outside the norm for him.

Nivek would be a macaw this large, handsome, charming chatter box of a bird from Beyond Valley. I also personally feel you can be a bit more creative with your animal choices when picking for someone not native to Bloomburrow. As maybe they manifest as creatures more native to their home plane.

Molycap I d know if the magic of Bloomburrow would affect Molycap as she is a fungus. But if it did she would become a mole.

Serrabeth would be a crafty fox.

Segara well as a peacock aven I figure he would just end up as an albino peacock on Bloomburrow and be very cross with the loss of his hands.

Angelique is a swan. Valentino would be a lovebird.

Marcel had been on Dominaria researching the Segiri bloodline, when he first encountered Phyrexia sleeper agents. Marcel innate abilities to feel the lifeforce of those around him made him shockingly good at rooting out Sheoldred agents. He left for a bit to warn those he cares about such as his friend Mathias @conquering-king and his beloved Theren @thetalesofthereneverwood of the impending threat.

Afterwards he returned to Dominaria where he was assisting the tolarian academy in their research into the prosses of completion in hopes of finding a cure.

Segara has recently had to flee the plane of New Capenna where he had recently settled. The shadow tiger that stalking his every step have finally sniffed him out once more, threating the lives of everyone even remotely near him. He had found his way to Kylem, something about the gladiatorial combat stirred something in the shattered pieces o his past. He was enjoying a match in Valor's Reach when the invasion started.

Molycap had been causing quite the ruckus on tin Street having stolen and entire cart of bread and was being chased by Krenko himself, as there was more then just baked goods in that cart.

Serrabeth was on Segovia where she was taking bets on the races in the hippodrome.

Dillan had been lead to Amonkhet by mother moon as the scares of what Nicol Bolas had done there still ran deep, and even a plane of eternal day deserved a night of peaceful sleep.

Nivel having heard threw the grapevine of the Phyrexian plans he returned to his homeplane of Hyverta to rally it defenses.

Angelique the seers of the Luminous Church had long predicted the day New Phyrexia would invade so she had returned to it defense. She returned to the abbey that she had been sent to as a child by her uncle, preparing the defenses of the secluded temple so she could better protect the pacifist nuns inside.

Valentino was on Eldraine having heard of the miraculous properties of the Cauldron of Eternity he had been hunting for it in the wilds.

Ozmander was home on Ravnica, it was his great granddaughters very first birthday so the family had gathered in his home.

Anise was at her monthly bookclub at the time of the invasion.

I have always struggled to fit Marcel into a D&D frame work not because there is not one but because I always get to nitpicky with my boy. But ultimately it not about D&D recreating my boy but recreating my boy for D&D.

I think Marcel fit very well as a half wood elf, nature domain cleric of Chauntea.

Segara is a peacock aarakocra monk who follows the path of th living weapon.

Molycap is a Myconid Spores druid.

Serrabeth a human Rogue Swashbuckler.

Dillan a centaur druid of the dream circle.

Nivel is a half orc bard of the collage of creation.

Angelique asimar paladin of lysander with a oath of devotion.

Valentino is a human wizard illusionist who is multiclassing into a necromancer.

Ozmander a human battle master fighter.

Think with all the invasion stuff you’ll compleat any of your characters? (I think I’m too attached/chicken to xD)

I'm kind of in the same boat as you @thetabbybadger I'm far to attached to my walker to complete any of them. Though I had considered have Niphorbis becoming complete do to his connection to nyx and have him pass away when the Phyrexians become inert.

But just because I have no plans to complete any of my oc dose not mean I have not put a lot of thought into what they would be like completed.

Marcel, Tender to Perfection

“I have surrendered the fleeting warming of flesh for the cold embrace of perfection.”

Not to long ago I sent you as message describing a completed Marcel well I have an update to that.

Marcel hair has become one sheet of flesh like silver fused to his lower back and around his ribs, it cloaks his upper body like a funeral lily. His upper body is now segments of perfectly smooth porcelain, jointed together like a great doll. As he moves you can see in the gaps of the joints brambles of copper, wound together in a mockery of muscle and sinew. His lower body though is now quadrupedal, green copper artistically sculpted into a mockery of a unicorn. An affront to everything Marcel ever believed in and the blessed of his home plane.

Marcel had become Elesh Norn's greatest weapon against the remains of the Mirrodin resistance, for against the cold artificialness of New Phyrexia their life force burns like a flare in the night.

When the invasion happened Marcel was tasked with brining perfection to his own home plane. Here he further proved his worth to the great work as he ability to manipulate life energies assisted in allowing the Phyrexian to overcome the Floramorians natural resistance to completion.

He would ultimately be put down by Duke Lyle, who in a brutal dragged out battle was finally able to avenge both his sons from what had happened to them. But this was not the end of Marcel's story for as he laid dying on warm stone of the castle he grew up in, the soul of Floramore heard the anguish of the soul trapped with in metal cage. She welcomed her lost child back into the embrace of the good earth, and somewhere far in the Fair Wilds a young dryad with silver hair would one day be born with a spark already ignited.

Segara, Avatar of Assimilation

"Here my journey has come to an end, I have found my place within the great work."

The breathtaking albino peacock feather of Segara's mighty wings have fused together into great sheets of chrome, tipped with the eyes of gitaxias. His head is now a chrome bird skull with interlocking metal spines flowing down from it to his chest. His body is now completely smooth chrome, with the symbol of Phyrexia carved into his chest. Behind him rages a living storm of black oil vapers, the Avatar of Assimilation. Born from Segara adsorbing the magic of glistening oil into his body and with the magic of his former goddess manifesting the very avatar of Phyrexia's will.

Molycap, Mycosynth Mutation

*horrifical oily gurgles*

Molycap has fused with mycosyth to become a horrific blighted mound of death and decay. A living rot farm of fused funguses and the undead from which Phyrexian saprolings burst from that quickly skitter into the dark of the undercity to spread more of the glistening oil into Ravnica water ways.

Serrabeth, Blazing Raider

"Come now child, no more tears, sometimes you got to know when to join the winning side."

Out of all my walker Serrabeth might have joined Urabrask willingly, trading in her aging body for one of immoral iron. Most of Serrabeth body is little more then an skeletal framework with a skull and crossbones making up her chest. The rest of her is the flames of Urabrask furnace given life, oh also her left arm is now a cannon because fuck ya.

Dillan, Yawgmoth's Dream

"Soon the nightmare of flesh will come to an end and all will share the dream of Phyrexia."

Dillan lower body if formed out of porcelain plates and has become more of a bipedal satyr then the sheep centaur he used to be. A sheet of white oil stained wool rapped around his waist like a child's security blanket. His chest is made entirely out of silver as he has been fused to mother moon. Who now oily sands now flow from the gap in his chest, spreading the dream of completion.

Nivel, Phyrexia's Harmony

"Soon we shall all sing in one voice"

Nivel has been fused with a number of other Phyrexias from all of the factions, their bodies forming a sort of twisted exoskeleton around is. They are his choirs and he is their conductor. Together they sing the hymn of the Phyrexia using Nivel animation magic to bring completion even to unliving stone.

Angelique, Angel of Elesh Norn

"In the light of the five suns I have foreseen Phyrexia's victory across countless worlds."

Angelique would be twisted into a mockery of an Elspeth, her body now little more then a set of living procaine pates interlocked into a set of armor. Behind her head is a halo shaped in of the New Phyreia's symbol. From her shoulders extend two great vents from which gouts of great flames burst forth giving the illusion of wings.

Valentino, Unseen Agent

"Promises where made to me that my love would be returned to me in perfection."

No one knows what Valentino's completed form looks like and that is the point. His mastery of illusion magic has made him invaluable in infiltration pockets of resistance and destroying them from within.

Ozmander, Porcelain Patriarch

"I have served many who only keep a veneer of faith, I find no such weakness here."

The left half of Ozmander body is formed from the white of the orthodoxies porcelain, the right the black iron of the steel thanes. He is draped his the robes of a holy man tattered and dripping with black oil, his sword having been fused with his right hand where it spins in it's socket.

Anise, Phyrexias Scripter

"The story has been written, the ending planed long in advance, all will be one."

Anise body now had the skeletal build of black iron, wing of folded porcelain plates and a cap of chrome covering her eyes. She now write in glistening oil a single word on everything she sees "Completion".

So boomerang! What would the psychic inner landscape of your ocs look like? :D

Entering into the mind of marcel you awaken laying upon a field of flowers of every description. The air is sweet and softly perfumed with the earth warmth of spring. You watch as the flowers shift into a rainbow of colors in response to Marcel emotions. Everything is so calm and peaceful that you almost miss the crater in the center of Marcel mind. Floating upside-down above this crater is a castle of white stone that slowly fades to gray. Pierre Blanche the castle of Duke Lyle, Marcel home for his most formative years.

Even after all this time it still lingers at the center of this thoughts, pushed away and kept out of reach as Marcel is not ready to deal with the events of the night that turned his life upside-down.

It is then you notice along the edges of the meadow that dark and foreboding forest. Flickering between the gnarled trunks of the trees, amongst the dark of the thick canopy, you catch glimpses of memories and emotions like will-o wisp. It is then you relies you only stand upon Marcel surface thoughts, the parts of himself that Marcel feels is appropriate to share. Out there in the dark of those woods is the real Marcel, who he was before learned to put of the façade of polite restraint.

Entering into Niphorbis Mind is like falling into Nyx itself. Falling quite literally as you find yourself hurtling through the enchanted nightscape of Theros. All around you see constellations of Niphorbis past, moving under their own power playing out the scenes of a life long lived. It is as you twist and turn around trying to catch a glimpse of all the stars around you that you notice something. A grate nebula of blue and white in the shape of a very familiar sphinx, looking down upon you. Looking down upon you in the way only a cat toying with a mouse can.

Molycap mind is simple in nature, as you find yourself sitting in her very first memory. Waking up in a long forgotten golgari rot farm, the bones that crack under your first step fill you with some sickly feeling of nostalgia, why you don't understand. Leading from this memory are sewer tunnels that are covered in scribbled and simple drawing of Molycap's scatted thoughts.

Serrabeth mind is a ship that had seen better days upon a stormy sea. Yep the storm feels hollow the wind blows yet the ship dose not rock, the rain falls yet the their is no chill, lightning crakes yet their is no thunder. Bluster for the sake of bluster. Below the deck you find endless holds each one a fading memory. Yep as you approach the captains quarters you can hear laughter and joy, and the storm around you becomes quite squall it appears to be.

Baba Yule's mind is a great tree in a dark void. Carved upon the bark of the tree are memories and as the non existent wind rustles the leaves you can hear her thought. Yet growing from this tree are two other trees. Once is a dark and twisted thing that lacked upon the trunk obscuring many memories. The other has the light of a great arura in its branches that ruffle the leaves of the other trees.

Dillon's mind is a great blank space, at the center of which is a small green mound of grass. sitting on that mound is a small lamb centaur resting his head upon the silver lantern he clutches to his chest. All around him are what appears like bits of broken glass suspended in the air. Reflected in the glass are scenes of a rural pastural life, that flickers in out amongst static. It is then you notice the silver lantern that the lamb is holding is swing forth streams of silver sand that become a vortex that cast you from Dillon's mind.

Nivel is at the center of his own mind conducting a great symphony of complete thought that spring form from his mind untethered. Yep you sense a almost desperate need in Nivel to surround himself in the cacophony of ideas. Not until you step out sound his orchestra room do you understand for the sky in ablaze with a great meteorite hurtling down upon you, the sound deafening you to anything else.

Segara's mind is a mess a once grand city shattered and scattered across his mindscape twisted and gnarled with the roots of great jungle trees. Have recalled memories play out in this ruin like ghost fading in the light of dawn. High above it all seemingly scratch into the inside of his mind is a great demonic symbol. The center of is squirming like a eye looking threw Segara most recent memories to any hint of here he might me.

Angelique mind is the grand cathedral of the prophetess on Crusabella. Yet this symbol of duty and piety is just a façade, something she learned to up in the convent her uncle sent her to. Beyond any of the heavy oak doors and the glittering stained glass are the ground of her families ancestral home. Where he mind and heart still linger upon even to this day.

For a man that strikes fear into the hearts of many Ozmander mind is the home he shares with his loves one. It is warm and welcoming with the glowing memories of the family he raised found within. Yet even in this place they exudes warmth there is a chill running down your spine. A reminder that you are not welcome here and to not overstay your welcome.

What are some little things your characters do to influence someone’s day?

First of all thank you. I so really get anyone showing even a modicum of interest in my oc. It is even so rarer for me to get any asks about them. So I wanted to take my time an really think about this. For Marcel is is small acts of care. He noticed you passed out on a chair he will put a blanket over you to keep you warm, putting a pillow under your head so your neck dose not get still. He sees you completely adsorbed in a taste you are attempting, will quietly bring you a nice cup of tea and some fresh picked strawberries to help refresh you.

Marcel will also subtly cast little healing spells on you if your around him enough. Spells that help fight off colds, alleviate small aches and pains and prevent headaches.

Niphorbis prefers that people never really know he is influencing someone. A breeze that blows some of your paper down a ally the leads you to a shop that has what your looking for. A kind stranger with a antidot about something that might be relevant to you.

Molycap gives you a Saporling.

Dillon's influencing happens in dreams as he shapes the world around you, making sure they are happy and peaceful so you get a good night sleep.

Angelique will often hum or sing softly if she noticed that those around her are stressed. Her voice is magical and can have a soothing effect on others.

If Ozmander sees your upset or struggling with something he will pull up his pants and engage in grandpa mode. He will ask you to come train with him, letting you work out your frustration in a heathy way.

Shepheard is all about influencing you to be a better version of yourself, he dose this subtly threw his magic. Being a genie Shepherd can manifest the want and desires of others threw his magic. But in classic genie fashion desires Shepherd grants always come with a catch. Never in a way that actively endangers you but that challenges your understanding of what it is you really desires and what will make you happy.

23. Is love about convenience or something more? Can it be about both?

To Marcel love had always been something for something else. Something to look upon with longing from his wallflower of a life. Then a half elf like a warm summer eve came into his life, and finally all the poetry on love that filled his lonely nights made sense to him. There is nothing convenient about love, love is something that blooms within you and must be tended to or it will wisher on the vine.

42. Is freewill an illusion?

"Ah a age old question of philosophers in stuffy rooms and tyrants on plush thrones" Niphorbis mused as he shifted his ancient form, stretching out a great wing as it cast a nightscape across his body. "In my long life the only ones who believe freewill is an illusion are those who want absolution from their actions, or are invested in making you believe you have no freedom."

62. Would you want to meet a clone of yourself? Would you like them?

Molycap looks at Molycap, and pushes one of their pseudopods against an out scratching pseudopods. Sound of sniffing filled the air before a pair of guttural shirks could be heard threw the old swear, followed by the sound of wood hitting two soft mushroom heads.

96. Is your perception of yourself similar or the same to how others perceive you?

After a long pause Segara rested his beak upon his folded hands, his elegantly plucked brows pulled together in troubled thought. "I do not know, for I do not fully know myself." The great peacock mused seeming lost in thought "Do they see me as some great charlatan, conning mages out of their hard earned magics or as something pitiable like a young rabbit squirming in the jaws of the fox."
