“Get away from me!” Being mugged in a Manhattan alleyway almost seems like a cliché at this point, but that doesn’t stop it from being terrifying. Especially considering who could have sent this guy. Alex screams again and pushes against the assailant, praying someone will hear her.

“Excuse me, Mr. Murdock?”

This was a bad idea. But she needed to do something about Norman, and she needed help from someone who actually knew the law to do it. Else she, or a lot of other people, were going to end up dead.

“I’m sorry, I know it’s late, but...” She stood awkwardly in the door frame, her heart beating so hard it felt like it would jump out of her chest. “I’m a friend of Peter Parker’s, and I... I need your help.”

With her hands, she sealed the wound to prevent anymore blood from spilling out, doing the best she could with her magic to heal him. 

“Though you might want to have that checked out anyway, just to be safe.”

“Ah, so it was you that blast of energy came from, hm?” She’s damp looking, as though she had been drenched a little while ago. “I had been luring fish when it came and created waves.” The explanation is short and despite her appearance her tone doesn’t actually sound too bothered by what transpired. There’s a nonchalance to her that goes against what a common reaction could be.

Instead the witch regards the stranger as she approaches closer, never breaching beyond a conversational distance at this time. An abyssal gaze watches him, curious in its nature as she inquired, “It has been a time since I lived out this way again; do you or others train often here now?”
