Ashes(mwhahaha random word for a starter, also I just noticed one of your songs in your playlist reminds me of persona in the velvet room -dies-)
The fire was warm on his cheeks, his eyes watching it just like so many others of the trainee troop. This was proof that what he had done, what they had done was wrong on a level he couldn't grasp or understand, at least not yet. All he knew that Reiner had fallen just as silent as the others, as well as Annie. The only sounds beyond the crackling of the fire was the soft sobs of some of the other members of the 104th.
Bertholdt wasn't entirely sure how to react to this all. He had caused this. He was the one who broke the wall down. He was the one who let the titans in. He was the one who killed Marco with Annie and Reiner.
How dare he stand here and watch the victims of his actions. No wonder why Annie and Reiner had gone so silent. They were the bad ones here.
His eyes decided to avoid staring at the fire, to avoid staring at the ashes of friends of friends, teammembers, people he had killed, and slowly he backed away. He left the blondes to the fire to find himself in a further darkness at the edge of the group, away from the burning smell of bodies and smoke that still lingered on his clothes.
And he let himself cry.
