Cremutt's second transformation, Plasmastiff!

Aside from now being big enough for a human to ride, Plasmastiff can unleash both fire and electricity! Nearly all Plasmastiffs are kept for battle; like any working dog, they grow restless if they don't use enough of their energy.

Cremutts and their transformations appear to be bred to hunt Monsters, but I'm not sure how their hypothetical breeder created dogs that spit fire... Are they doglike Mons that evolved from something else? Or is the secret to giving dogs superpowers out there somewhere?

Cremutt's first transformation, Litbull!

Ironically, Cremutts become safer to handle the further they transform, as they become more aware of their own strength. Despite being able to produce fire from their bodies, they are no more destructive than ordinary dogs. That isn't saying much, though.

Mosster's second transformation, Sodzilla!

Ah, Sodzilla, what a majestic creature! They're living excavators, with jaws that can easily crush a car, not that I've witnessed this. Outside of battle, they have the temperament of senior dogs. We could even have a scenic picnic on one's back!

Mosster's first transformation, Treechur!

By the way, have you ever wondered what Mossters and Treechurs look like under their covers? I advise you to stop worrying and wait for a pro to find out. Trust me on this one... Also, do you have any Benadryl on you?

The Water-type option for your first Mon is Snotter! This slippery little fella has a great balance of damaging and non-damaging Skills and is well-rounded in both stats and temperament. It's not the most huggable Mon, and "produce copious amounts of slime" isn't the most appealing ability, but the adaptable Snotter is an excellent choice for your first Mon!

The Fire-type option for your first Mon is Cremutt! This spunky little bundle of love and napalm demands your full attention, but if you accept that you can never bring your partner in public without a suburban white woman calling the authorities on you, you'll find that it's the most loyal, faithful, and loving Mon you'll ever own! Partially because it keeps knocking out every other Mon you encounter.

The Plant-type option for your first Mon is Mosster! These little fellas are easy to raise; just let 'em photosynthesize, lay off the weedkiller, and stay patient. It's a sturdy and reliable pile of dirt and plant matter, and though it takes twice as long to take down a foe as your other options, it's tanky enough that using it is basically a guaranteed win for every major fight in the first third of your journey.
