How Many Episodes will Monogatari Be?
I've been trying to do some math about how many episodes of the Monogatari series we have left (not including Hanamonogatari) NOTE: I haven't read any of these, so its just an estimation based off of how long the novels are. So here goes..
Tsukimonogatari:Yotsugi Doll: Considering its an entire novel in and of itself, I expect this one to be quite long, maybe 5-6 episodes.
Koyomimonogatari: This one is the hardest because its a collection of short stories, and since I haven't read them, I don't know how long they will take to cover... I'm going to guess 3-5 episodes.
Owarimonogatari Volume 1: Ougi Formula: This one isn't a full volume, so I'm going to say maybe 3-4 episodes. Sodachi Riddle: Like Ougi Formula, it will probably be 3-4 episodes. Sodachi Lost: I'm guessing 3-4 episodes.
Owarimonogatari Volume 2/Shinobu Mail: This one is a complete volume, so it will probably be 5-6 episodes.
Owarimonogatari Volume 3: Mayoi Hell: Like the stories contained in Owarimonogatari volume 1, it will probably be 3-4 episodes. Hitagi Rendezvous: 3-4 episodes. Ougi Dark: 3-4 episodes.
Zokuowarimonogatari: Koyomi Book: It's the last volume in the series and as such will probably be quite long, even though it isn't out yet. So I'm guessing maybe 6-8 episodes.
So here's the break down...
Tsukimonogatari: 5-6 Episodes
Owarimonogatari Volume 1: 9-12 episodes
Owarimonogatari Volume 2: 5-6 episodes
Owarimonogatari Volume 3: 9-12 episodes
Zokuowarimonogatari: 6-8 episodes
If you add that to the 61 episodes we have already...
The overall series should probably be between 95-105 episodes long, and a movie.
That's a heck of a lot of Monogatari!
