Hiii! Could you maybe do some caregiver Dogday x little reader headcanons? 🥺
Yes, yes! Of course I can!! >:3
Caregiver DogDay Headcanons!
˖᯽ ݁˖ Dogday first of all, is a very attentive caregiver, I believe he gives off big brother energy to the absolute max, he teases you sometimes, but its never in a mean or demeaning way. He's like the embodiment of sunshine and rainbows and will not stand to see you sad or upset in any way! if your sad, then he's sad, and we cant have that! Given your environment he wants to make sure everyone has pleasant memories to look back on!
˖᯽ ݁˖ DogDay is very big on health, and following the playcare schedules. While he's not exactly the Bubba Bubbaphant of the group he knows a thing or two about eating well and being active! So, With gentle and room brightening enthusiasm he will usher you out of bed with a cheerful: "Rise and shine Pup!" and guide you through the groggy waves of sleep while getting your morning routine together. Wanting the best for you he will often go to Pickypiggy to help whip you up a nice meal to start off your day. Once you're all settled Dogday wastes no time getting you outside into playcare. Outside playtim is very important to him and he wants you to associate him with both fun and safety.
˖᯽ ݁˖ When its comes to conjuring up activities, Dogday is pretty fit for the job! Given he's considered the group leader and all, problem solving and finding something everyone can enjoy is important. Feeling more rough and active? Well you and the gang can climb the playset! Wanting to do something more low energy? Well you two and swing on the playground swings! Sometimes during a particularly fussy day, he will engage you in much more tiring activities like tag so those icky bad feelings can come out easier! it'll also make it easier to put you down to sleep.
˖᯽ ݁˖ DogDay doesn't consider him the best at comforting littles, but that couldn't be farther from the truth, atleast not when he's with you! He will never make you feel ashamed for simple mistakes or problems, nor will he let anyone else make you feel that way either. With him its okay to make mistakes and he makes sure to show you that. Potty accident? "Awh its okay Buddy! We've all been in your shoes before you know..? no need for fuss. We can try again once your all cleaned up. Just.. bark next time okay?"
Maybe you fell over while playing? "Oh shoot! You alright there Pup? you hit your knee real hard huh? Ah, Now now, no need for tears bud! Why don't we get you on of those colored bandaids you like hm?"
Or perhaps the big emotions are just really hard one day. "You don't seem to be all sunny today huh pup? well that's alright! if you'd like we can sit quietly.. waiting for the clouds to part. Whenever you feel like shining again, I'll be right here, okay?"
᯽ ݁˖ I believe dogday can handle littles from ages 3-8 the best! After all he was made for a younger demographic, and though he can certainly adjust I think he just gets a certain joy out of shaping young minds into something greater, happier. its also much easier to come up with nicknames! he's very endearing when it comes to finding something cute or animal related to call you. So he will go with things like: Little Howler, Bubs, Pup, Squirt, Buddy, Sunshnie, Sunflower and more.
Hopefully this was up your alley! I had a lot of fun writing this in particular. This may be a bit of a weak post because this is actually the 2nd version of this post! my first draft got lost, so I may have gotten carried away this round! ૮(˶ㅠ︿ㅠ)ა
