I think I get it? I might just be slow because I always am when it comes to wordy explanations, hehe. But I would love to see other examples if you have any!

I don’t have any other examples on hand, but youtubing/googling “Broadway transformation” or “trick dress” generally pulls up the sort of thing you’re looking for. The stage version of Cinderella is famous for its transformations, although theirs are a bit trickier with how they fold everything together.
