Okay, in the entire time I have been in the lost boys fandom, I cannot figure this out. Who is older, Edgar or Alan?

Monster Bashers headcanons

No one asked for these but you're getting them anyway.

-Both the Frogs and Sam paint their nails. Edgar does it so that he can chip it off during work, Sam likes it cause it looks cool, and Alan does it because the other two do. Alan never paints his own nails, he lets Sam do one hand and Edgar do the other.

-Alan Frog is a jacket thief of epic proportions. He's managed to con Edgar, Star, and 3/4 members of the Emerson family out of their jackets. Occasionally Edgar will sneak into his room and steal them back to return to their owners.

-Edgar is the mom friend. He is small and angery but also terribly protective of Sam and Alan and anxious about their wellbeing. He is not above licking his finger and wiping stuff off of their faces either, much to their dismay.

-Both Edgar and Alan snort when they laugh. They absolutely hate it, but Sam thinks it's adorable.

- Edgar and Alan are fraternal twins. Edgar was born 10 minutes before Alan and will remind him at every given opportunity that he is older and therefore responsible for him (see point 'Edgar is the mom friend')

-Alan Frog almost exclusively drinks juice boxes. He keeps a full pack in his backpack at all times. His favorite are the lemonade ones. When Lucy figures this out, she starts keeping lemonade juice boxes at the house for him.

-Sam has figured out how to change the music in the comic shop, and will turn it way up and grab whichever twin is closest to him to dance with. Edgar openly hates this. Alan hates being the victim, but thinks it's entertaining when it's Edgar.

-Sam can't handle being yelled at in any capacity for any reason, and his automatic response is tears. It's because of the way his father treated him growing up. Edgar finds this out completely by accident and feels terrible for weeks. After that he's much more conscious of his volume levels around Sam.

-Alan was nonverbal for most of his childhood. He gradually got himself accustomed to speaking and interacting with others through imitating movies and tv. As a result, occasionally he'll slip into an accent that he's got no business having as someone who's lived in California his whole life.

-When they have sleepovers, they all just sleep in one big pile on the floor. Lucy has photographic evidence of this.

-"Meetings" are held at Sam's house, because Lucy makes snacks and because the Frogs' house isn't hospitable. Occasionally they'll meet up in the back room of the comic book shop, but only occasionally.

-Edgar is incredibly accident prone. If he shows up to school with a black eye and he says he walked into the door, there is a 100% chance that that's what actually happened. He goes through bandages faster than a hospital. His favorite are the camo print ones.

-All 3 of them have incredibly different music tastes, so it's hard for them to find anything they agree on. They will argue for a full hour over what to play, and then eventually settle on the Beastie Boys because that is their only common ground.

-Sam thrives off of positive attention. It's why he looks Like That(tm). Unfortunately the Frogs never really catch on, so Sam spends a lot of their time together fishing for compliments and being a show off.

-Edgar loves having his hair played with, but only by people he knows and trusts. That list is very, very short.

headcanon that star teaches sam how to make jewelry and he makes friendship bracelets for edgar and alan.. alan silently takes it and never ever takes it off.. meanwhile with edgar its more like

edgar: idk im not really a jewelry person.

sam: fine, ill take it back then-

edgar: no, back off, its mine and im gonna wear it forever

if you want pain imagine they all continue to wear them even after sam and alan are turned and edgar keeps sams after staking him
