Introducing a Ben 10 Reboot AU: The OmniFamily!
I’ve come up with a cute AU for the Ben 10 Reboot where the Season 1 Aliens (for the time being) are independent beings that live together and have slice-of-life adventures when they aren’t fighting crime.
While I prefer the OS, I do think the reboot aliens would fit the idea better by virtue of that series being lighter-hearted and goofier in tone.
I was inspired by @hincapie319 ‘s similar concept The 10 of Us as well as @thebig-chillqueen ‘s cute Overwatch AU posts. <3
Here’s the bios of each member!
-Four Arms: Is a lot like Wreck-It-Ralph, a bit short tempered and insecure, but enjoys his friends and is willing to help however he can. He also loves his momma <3
-Heatblast: A classic hothead: gets mad easily, but never hits anyone, and is working on remaining calm more. He’s also a bit headstrong, but only because he believes in taking action quickly.
-XLR8: Is the jock villager type from Animal Crossing. He enjoys competing with others and showing off. He has ADHD-like hyperactivity, and thus fidgets a bit and gets side tracked easily. He’s working on that though.
-Diamondhead: Is the unofficial leader of the group. He comes off as bossy to the others, but just wants the best for them. Also, he’s under self-inflicted pressure as his father is high in rank in the Petrosapien army. Still, he does enjoy fun activities with his surrogate brothers.
-Cannonbolt: He’s like a good-hearted frat boy: enjoys having a good time and remains optimistic. He always tries to look at the brighter side of things, and goes out to help those who are down. In hindsight he’s like Baloo from Disney’s The Jungle Book.
-Upgrade: Despite his deep voice and cyber-cyclops appearance, he’s a big softie. He is sensitive and timid, but also always willing to help those in trouble; kind of like Bernard from The Rescuers. He also likes nerd culture, especially video games (which he does livestreams of :) ).
-Grey Matter: Similar to Upgrade, but more outgoing and spunky. He does experiments (which Upgrade helps with), and also is a nerd culture fan. He can get emotional charged easily, though.
-Overflow: Is like a sailor: outgoing and always up for adventure. He keeps morale among the group as high as possible, and is usually the one to break up bickering going on (usually between XLR8 and Heatblast). He also now has a Scottish accent and thus refers to people as lad/lass per my one headcannon post on it.
-Wildvine: A total party dude. Similar to Cannonbolt, but more wild (heh) and snarky. He never acts truly mean to anyone though. He also enjoys gardening, of course. :)
-Stinkfly: A kid at heart, he always looks at the world with wide eyed idealism and enjoys having fun. He can be navie on things, but springs into action when he realizes things are serious.
For now, I was planning on doing just one-shots, but I can go about writing full stories for those who are interested. :)
Not sure immediately if and how other aliens would be added. If so, there would be more than 10 at a time (meaning Upgrade and the others are spared this time <3). I’ve also thought of Ben and Gwen coming in at one point, where the members become surrogate fathers/brothers to them. <3
