The Black Crown Dragon - Morudomunto
Marysuemunto Morudomunto redesign
Here’s a redesign of a monster from Monster Hunter Explore, It might possibly be my least favorite design in the franchise (Though Elzelion comes close). I think the whole “Mouths in wings” is way too ridiculous even for an Elder Dragon. So for the redesign, I turned the the black crown shaped horns into Antlers, I also put fur all over the body due to it being in snowy areas, I also changed the face to a more serviceable face, and the biggest change was replace the literal wing mouths with spikes under the arms that conveniently look like arms.
We're finally going live again on MOGA Extra to finish reacting to CR-Volcanic's The Exotic Monsters of Monster Hunter Explore in a bit over an hour

Since Eo Garudia is lacking a clear icon i decided to retrace it and make it much more clearer for people, i’m not uploading this to the wiki cause not sure it’s allowed
This guy really fascinates me, partially because this design reminds me of a couple non-mainline monsters.
The wing-whips are reminiscent of Frontier monsters such as Berukyurosu and Zenaserisu, while the color scheme, furry wings, and bulky head remind me of Morudomunto, from Explore. Really interesting!
Which Asia-exclusive Monster Hunter game do you most want to see officially localized?
Monster Hunter G
Monster Hunter 2
Monster Hunter Frontier
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
Monster Hunter 4 (base version)
Monster Hunter Explore
I know some of these have fan translations, but I’m talking about a hypothetical re-release by Capcom that you can buy on consoles and PC

just curious, if you were to consider MH Explore canon, how would the monsters from that game be classified and how would their biology work in a fanon and canon sense?
Oof uhhh
So almost all the original monsters that aren’t crossovers are just kinda crummy deviants/variants/subspecies. The only super new ones are Nef-Garmat, Eo Garudia, and Morudomunto.
For garmat and garudia, I don’t really know what to classify them aside from more advanced upright hexapterygians, and maybe they grow their crystals by filtering the sand they suck up with their tails?
Morudomunto is a magala relative and maybe it extends its arms with hydraulics and has a symbiotic relationship with a slime mold that can create sharp spikes??
