There's this knight in our barracks who went missing in the woods for a week. We thought them dead until they turned up one night. Taller, quieter, and they smelt... different. Ever since their return they haven't been the same. Their bed is always covered in shed hair, yet they seem hairier than ever. They refuse to let anyone help them out of their armour. The cadence in their voice is lower too, almost like a growl. And some nights I swear I wake up to the sound of them sneaking back to their bed in the dark. Wet, heavy footsteps and the coppery smell of blood lingering after them. Maybe it's just their shadow, but they always seem bigger in the dark too.
