Monster Month Day 8 - Fresno Nightcrawlers
Discovered monster month just in time to sneak in another mermaid drawing because I did barely anything for mermay in the end.
Chlorine is gross. The pool is better this way. It's great, it's better this way. This is how it should look. Chlorine smells bad. Algae smells great. It's wonderful.
Wicked, huge, HUNGRY. You don't have to say a lot about Gnolls to get the point across.
Monster Month Day 23 - Gnoll
A vulgar sewer lurking poop monster that looks like some kind of rude leather egg with too many teeth. That's the otyugh. And if that's not enough, now it's talking in your mind too.
Monster Month Day 24 - Otyugh
The best D&D monsters capture your imagination and suggest scenarios by their mere existence. The Displacer Beast is pure D&D. Peak wonder, equal parts strangeness, alien scariness and possibility.
Also, it's a kitty-kitty-kitty, or something similar. So, what's not to like?
Monster Month Day 22 - Displacer Beast
A legendary beast of old, said to haunt the forests of old Bavaria, and who only ever showed themselves to a pure and lucky few.
Monster Month Day 10 - Wolpertinger
In 1924, a bunch of people on a beach in south Africa supposedly saw a titanic creature covered in white fur engaged in a battle with two orcas. Some time later, the creature washed ashore. It had no head, a lobster-like tail, and most interestingly, perhaps, a trunk. This is Trunko.
Trunko is my personal favorite cryptid, and one of the few cryptids that there is actual photographic evidence for, since the beached corpse was photographed extensively. Just look at this Lil guy. You just gotta love 'em.
Monster Month XP Day 14 - Trunko
A huge flying creature with the wings of a bat, and the head of a dog spotted around the eruption of Mt. St. Helens in Washington State.
Batsquatch is another of the 'unrelated to sasquatch' squatches, and he's generally pretty cool.
