so solis is an interdimensional traveler, previously considered a god in her home dimension, she travels to a few other universes before settling in what will eventually become metro city. its thousands of years later that the three baby aliens land in metro city, and even longer before solis even learns of megamind and minion, though she doesnt get involved merely out of disinterest. years later, during minions job hunt in megamind v doom syndicate, he bumps into her on a bench and she gives him directions to the cafe
from then on out, the two keep bumping into each other, and solis acts as a sort of "bad influence that guides him in a good direction" sort of thing (think kinda like hobie brown to miles?) where she encourages him to stand up for himself more and be his own person. likewise, he has a more positive influence on her, helping her open up and express vulnerablities she hasnt allowed in thousands of years
