Beth from R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls deserves love! 💛

So a thought popped into my head. And its about these two creeps:

(If you don’t know who they are, they’re both villains from R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls and The 2019 revival of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, respectively.)

Imagine if these two ever met. They would have so much in common.

Both were immortal evil carnival themes villains who kidnapped children in order to stay the same age. Both were eventually defeated by a blonde teenage girl who wanted to protect her friends and who were immune to their evil powers. 

I wonder if they would rant over their young foes or brag about them. Cause, let’s be honest, both men had some level of respect for the girls. Hysteria wanted Beth to join his family because she had such a strong will and Tophat changed his mind about killing Rachel because she remembered him, something no other person outside of his carnival could do. And honestly, during the finale, I half expected him to ask her to join him as his daughter due to her ability to remember him. 

So, in conclusion, if it weren’t for the fact they belonged to different companies and Monsterville came out back in 2015, they would have made a great crossover evil team, especially since their respective groups, R.L. Stine and his Goosebumps series and Are You Afraid of the Dark, were great kids shows.
