Sherlock does not have access to a full Harpy form, and his wings are too small for flight due to his bird type and Siren Inheritance.

When he is upset/in emotional distress, his face feathers make an appearance, as do his claws and sharp teeth! Depending on how upset he is, more feathers appear- on his face, in his hair, along his arms and legs, and around his neck/shoulders. His neck & shoulder feathers tend to fluff up large, much like how you'd see in a regular bird.

Hello! Welcome to this absolute mess. Got a fic idea that quickly spiraled, you know how it be.

As you've likely guessed, this AU is in a world where Supernatural/Mythical creatures walk out in the daylight alongside humans! This means the world's a whole lot different in some ways, and in others, not at all.

Any info or lore about creatures in this au are either inspired by something, have actual history that's been utilized, or I pulled whatever is going on completely out of my ass as I went about my merry way worldbuilding. ✨️Wizards, Sorcerers, Warlocks, Oh My✨️

Yo! It's been a minute!

Here's a quick rundown on Wizards/Witches, Sorcerers, Warlocks, and really just Magick in general ✌️

Below are the 3 known titles given to magik users. These titles, though typically given to Human magick users, are not restricted from being given to individuals of Monstrum descent.

Wizards/Witches - These individuals learn magick through teachings and through the use of items/concoctions.

Sorcerers/Sorceresses - These individuals are born with a natural source of magick inside them and do not require the use of items to utilize it.

Warlocks - These individuals make pacts or contracts with Demons, higher beings, or Monstrum in exchange for the boon of magick.

Contracts are typically made so that either party can cancel at any time, though it is not uncommon to come across individuals who have been tricked/agreed to/guilted/inherited into far more binding contracts.

All 3's magick can be influenced subtly by ones Monstrum ancestry, no matter how distant; Though if an individual happens to be pure Humanus, then their magick is essentially a blank slate.

Magick as a whole exists throughout the world. Saturates the air we breathe, the earth we walk, and the waters we traverse. Though not everyone can utilize it, all individuals can feel it to some degree.

Magick comes in many forms, and is utilized in many ways, depending on a multitude of factors - Race, inheritance, teachings, environment, religious beliefs, contract type, etc.

Magick is neither Good or Bad. Magick is Magick, it doesn't have Mortal morals, it simply acts.

Some Magicks, and consequently even Monstrum, are viewed either "Light" or "Dark" - but in truth everything functions under the same shade of Grey.

There's a long list of Magick systems. You think of it, that type of magick probably exists, or will in future.

There is a tier list of Magick capability- natural capability is rather set in stone from birth, but can be influenced by Contracts or boosted by outside means.

Equivalent exchange is a big thing the larger the magickal feat! Example-

From lowest to highest - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Mithril.

Mithril is exceptionally rare, though not unheard of.

Using Necromancy to revive your plants after you left for a trip and forgot to ask someone to care for them in your absence? Small bit of blood and some energy, a juice box and a nap will set you to rights.

Bringing back a loved one? That takes either a Life for a Life, or soul fragments from multiple people (which has a consequence of life long issues for all parties, as they all will feel incomplete.)
