Sometimes even in a Montessori classroom a child can become overwhelmed by “freedom of movement” and the freedom to choose work. In this scenario if you provide the child with 3 options to choose from it can prevent them from having any misbehaviors. Then gradually they’ll begin to adapt to the concept of being able to choose work willingly without the simplified options.
