“You can do anything for 30 days”
This past year was a busy one and even though I managed to fit in quite a lot, it still kinda feels like I missed it. Maybe that is just a part of getting older. Or maybe it’s Life’s way of reminding me to give my days more purpose. Either way, I’ve declared 27 The Year of Crow’s Feet and I’d like to give 28 a better legacy.
This brings me to the dreaded New Year’s Resolutions. Why is this still a thing? I like the idea of a new year--new you, but what I like more is committing to do more, be more, love more, and learn more.
I stumbled upon a TedTalk where Matt Cutts gave himself monthly challenges and swears you can do anything for 30 days–even if you hate it. He tried something new every 30 days and by doing so, he found new hobbies, interests, confidence, and his days felt much fuller and longer than before. Now that is something I can get into. A year full of growth and gains in all the right places one month at a time. So, 2016…let’s roll.
