Monthly MILEStones: 4 Month Survey!
Today, Miles is 4 months old! This past month has been the most fun yet (though I have a feeling I'm going to say that every month). Miles is getting bigger every day, with sweet little baby rolls everywhere and plump little cheeks that I kiss CONSTANTLY. He makes the funniest faces and keeps us constantly laughing.
He's changing so quickly...sometimes when I look back on his newborn pictures, I can't even believe how little he once was! It's like one day I woke up, and he had gone from newborn to baby boy overnight. I love every change, every minute, but I can't help but think it's flying by way too fast. I suppose that's just motherhood, right?
Here's what Miles' 4th month has looked like:
Age: 4 months!
Size: At his last weigh in, he was 20.6 lbs. He's giving me quite the workout - I'm getting muscles in my arms that I didn't even know I had. ;)
New developments: Miles' big eyes eyes are seeing EVERYTHING these days. His head is on a swivel, constantly seeing new things. It's so fun to watch him discover the world!
Sleep: Our big boy sleeps through the night now. Hooray! He's an amazing sleeper at night, but he has a terrible time napping at daycare. :(
Moment to remember: Hearing him giggle for the first time...it seriously melted my heart.
Movement: He will be rolling over any day now...he rolls to his side and gets stuck but it's only a matter of time. ;)
Smiles/Laughter: He's such a happy baby. He smiles all of the time and now he giggles regularly. It's the cutest sound in the world. :)
Miles likes: Staring at the TV, going on walks, riding around on mommy or daddy's shoulder, and eating his hand.
Miles dislikes: Not getting enough sleep. He really only cries when he's overtired. Makes sense to me! ;)
Favorite things to do with mommy: Dancing and singing with mommy, blowing raspberries together, tickle time (that's when the giggles appear)!
Favorite things to do with daddy: Laying on the playmat together, going on walks and playing with friends in the cul de sac! Daddy also likes to explain to him what's happening on TV. For instance, daddy gave him a very thorough recap of "The Fugitive" the other day.
They don't look alike at all, do they? ^^ :)
Teeth? No teeth, but he's drooling and chewing more than ever. I think they're coming!
Favorite place to sleep: Cozy in his crib. And always in the car!
Favorite toy: New bouncy chair, play mat, and Sophie!
Words/Noises: Raspberries, giggles, and too many squeals to count! :)
What I’ve learned: I didn't know true JOY until Miles came into my life. I know that's a bold statement, because I had an amazingly happy life pre-Miles. But he was a game-changer, and it's something you can't understand until you become a mommy. His sweet smiles make every moment better. Brad and I have so much fun just watching and playing with him...we are so blessed to have our healthy, happy boy in our lives!
