You always shove to my face that I'm not like you or some people who are the same as you (in the lamest reasons). As I grew up, I was made to believe that it's a bad thing that I am not the same as the conventional, that I thought, felt, talked, acted, and perceived differently. Just so you know, I don't dream to be like you. You just don't get it. You are the same because you grew up in the same fucked up enviroment that both made you the persons that you are now. I have known you ever since I was born so I know who you truly are. You pretend to be someone that you will never be. You want me to try to be like you, but I can never do it. When I was younger, I thought you were the right persons to admire because I was surrounded by you and your influence. But as I grow up, I learned that you were not the best example and aspiration. You think it's an edge that I have your personality and traits. The truth is, you were never exposed to the bigger world that there had always been. I couldn't take it against you because it wasn't your choice to miss out the opportunity. Instead, I pity you and the people who are just like you because you fail to see the repetitive pattern that leads to the same unfruitful ending. Thus, harsh as it may sound, I never actually want to be like you. You find it hard to accept that there are other great things apart from what you know and what you have been exposed to. You are susceptible to things that adhere with what you already know. You reject opinions and facts that are unfamiliar to you. You see novelty as a wreck thing that you can shape up. You created a wall within your reach to make you feel satisfied with what you have gotten out of your existence. You only perceive things as either black or white. You are afraid of the 'different' and 'unfamiliar'. You see them as badly-influenced things that you need to correct. Sadly, even if you saw me grew, you seem to perceive me as something that is different and unfamiliar. You want me to camouflage with your existing identified and approved boundaries. You pressure me, together with people of same mindset, to be like you. You try to feed me with anachoristic ideals that will make me just like you. I try to succumb even if I know I don't belong. Then, I decline because I know it's best for me. I know in my heart that I don't want to be like you because I don't want to entrap people with the same illogical arguments and perceptions. I don't want to hinder people from growing and exploring the bountiful things that the world has to offer. I want to empower people by telling them it's okay to deviate from the normal, that's it is okay to be the different and unfamiliar. I don't want others to be as confused as I was. I don't want others to feel alienated with themselves. You have always done a great job in fulfilling your responsibilities, but in this aspect, you can never win.
