Tsukuyomi by Mauro Alocci
Dua Iah,
He Who Lights up the Night with His Presence,
Let all who bask and dance in Your Light sing Your Name!
Dua! Dua! Dua Iah!
Dua Khonsu,
He Who Travels Across the Sky with Grace,
Let all who see Your Voyage be inspired in Your Name!
Dua! Dua! Dua Khonsu!
If Moonshadow elves could survive in space, how powerful would they be on the surface of the moon. Also how restricted would the moon be if anyone could survive in space and get their?
We’d basically be Moon gods, I expect. Illusions cast on or from the Moon would be so powerful they could challenge reality itself. Truth would lose meaning, and only strength would truly matter. Well, strength and persuasiveness. Moon mages would rule undisputed, but everyone would still live in their own little pockets of space--just with a little more illusion than in the Moonshadow Forest.
I don’t think the Moon would be restricted at all. Anyone brave or foolish enough to visit the Moon when it’s inhabited by Moonshadow elves would be entirely at their mercy. You think Lujanne’s defensive illusions are miind-melters, just wait until you see Lujanne vacationing on the Moon itself. She’d convince you to tie yourself into a pretzel shape without even putting down her umbrella drink.
What a fascinating question!
i secretly wanted to be a lunanaut as a boy but noooo i had to be an assassin, it’s okay i suppose
To Khonsu, Egyptian god of the moon.
Gods of Antiquity: Lunar Deities

With its regular waxing and waning over 29.5 days, the Moon holds a central role in many cultures, being an easier way to mark time than the full 365.25 day cycle of the Sun. From its close timing to the menstrual cycle of humans, many lunar deities were goddesses, though this connection is not universal with their being quite a few cultures with moon gods. Some goddesses only became lunar deities until being combined with other goddesses.

Perhaps the oldest attested lunar deity attested is Nanna, the Sumerian god known as Sin or Suen to the Akkadians. His name could also be represented by the number 30, closely tied to the number of days in a lunar cycle, and his symbol was the crescent. His parents were Enlil, the god of the wind and storms, and Ninlil, the goddess of destinies. His wife was Ningal, associated with the moon as well, and their children included Inanna, the goddess of love and war, and Utu, the sun god.

Selene was one of the non-Olympian gods and the personification of the moon to the Greeks, known as Luna to the Romans. Through syncretisation, other goddesses like Artemis, Hecate, and Isis gained some type of lunar aspect. She was the daughter of Hyperion, the Titan god of the sun one of the children of Gaia and Uranus, and Theia, the Titan goddess of sight, vision, gold, silver, and gems and his sister. She is the sister of Helios and Eos, the gods of the sun and dawn respectively, and one of the few gods who has a linguistic connection to Proto-Indo-European. She has many daughters with various fathers. With Zeus, she had Pandia (all-brightness), Ersa (dew), and Nemea (nymph of the city Nemea). With Endymion, a human who was either a shepherd, hunter, or king, she had fifty daughters, representing the fifty lunar months between Olympic Games known as an Olympiad. With Helios, she had the Horae, goddesses representing the four seasons. With Eumolpus, a king of Thrace who was a seer, she had Musaeus, the legendary founder of priestly poetry in Attica and philosopher, historian, prophet, seer, priest, poet, and musician.
im looking for more witchy discords to join, any suggestions? im interested in celtic and greek moon gods mostly so something along those lines would be v cool
I wanted to try making graphics more now that I’ve found Canva, so I decided to make a nice little guide/grimoire page for one of my favourite Gods to work with. Please note that these are just my impressions of him and every person will have their own experience with each God. That being said, I truly believe at least some of this could be of great use when working with him.
Honestly, I could go on and on about Mani forever. He’s one of my strongest loves, truly. He’s been with me through the hardest of times and I wouldn’t give him up for anything. I hope that if you choose to work with him, you will treat him fairly as well. He certainly won’t stick around if you don’t.

I met a man, a moon god
Bright stars about his breast
And crowned in galaxies adorned
With nebulaeic crest
He holds within, in harmony
Ecstatically addressed
The songs of bodies heavenly
Celestial and blessed
No human could him understand
No mortal could but shy
From the fringes of each solemn plan
He builds and wills alive
And with a lifting of his hand
He could undo the sky
Instead he chooses to command
His universe sublime
