did you have a lovely time in paris
I had… A time in Paris, hahaa. Generally, it was fine. Got to see more of the Louvre and Versailles gardens which was really lovely - not worth the money to see the fountains though, when I went in February the gardens were free. Saw some churches and buildings and mosques I hadn’t seen before - which were all beautiful. We went for my cousin’s wedding and it raiiiiiined. And then I had an argument with an uber driver in my limited French and his limited English, it was a whole thing - long story.
Yeah, so I had an experience in Paris, hahaa. Thanks for asking. <3
you remind me of Mrs Maisel in your pictures <3
aahhh that’s the best compliment, thank you!! <333
Do you think Suleyman regretted killing Mustafa
Hello! Maybe? Ambassadors certainly thought so, as he looked more melancholic after Mustafa’s execution.
At the same time, Süleyman wasn’t new to these things? He had also sacrificed Ibrahim when he didn’t need him anymore; Ibrahim had been the closest to him in the first part of his reign, while Mustafa was the most beloved by everyone. There are certainly parallels here.
I think he probably wish it hadn’t come to this, especially because he also had to execute his small grandson as well, but in the end Süleyman loved his throne and even if Mustafa wasn’t about to rebel, he was expendable.
Ultimately, Mustafa’s execution was a power move: he showed the janissaries that he was still in power and the great lengths he would go to to keep it. He was old, yes, but he was no Bayezid II.
Süleyman was very pleasant, loving with his children, but he was also capable of cruelty if anyone threatened his throne. Ibrahim had raised so much that he didn’t revere him enough anymore, and Mustafa had grown too popular. Both had become threats to his rule and they had to go.
so, what are your thoughts on jane the virgin finale?? i have soo many questions
Oh god, I have so many! As much as I loved Michael I just want to know what is the purpose of bringing him back? Jane suffered from his death and is finally able to be in a position where she can be happy and in love again and I’m kinda pissed her chances with Rafael have been dashed! I just hope they can do the story-line justice and at least give Jane a real chance to be with Rafael. It’s always something when it comes to these two, just give these two a break!
Petra, on the other hand! Wow! I have to admit I didn’t exactly see that coming. And I have my suspicions on who had the gun.
