I love fujio and sachio's dynamic (even though we get such little sachio content in x cross) It's just fujio's unspoken declaration that they're friends and it gave rise to this whole housen oya solidarity that I really enjoy

I just felt like sharing because I find such less hilo content and got excited when I read your stuff haha

ahhh i really do too they are such lovely friends in my opinion. i think they work as well as they do together because they share a lot of the same values and ways of going about things even if sachio is comparatively quieter and less driven to make friends the way fujio is lmfao.

like, sachio and fujio share the same need to protect the people around them to an insane degree [fujio basically going to war for tsukasa, sachio punching his way through an underground drug ring for his sister.] and they also share the same unwavering set of morals for the most part, which i appreciate.

cherry on top was them being there to help each other time and time again. very lovely. also sachio showing up in the worst x was very fun to see after watching the worst and getting more context behind the sudden cameo.

that and i think there is inherent humour behind fujio neverendingly poking at sachio while he [preteneds to be] is exasperated in the aftermath.

tldr sachio fujio wonderful dynamic.

watched the worst x for the millionth time and started wondering where ryo's jacket (with the zippers on the back) came from. it definitely wasn't cheap so it had me thinking if it was from amagai and if it had some deeper meaning :///// what are your thoughts?????

hmm to be honest i'm fairly sure that was just something they had him wear for the sake of style (as most people in that franchise have very specific style regardless of financials (thinking about fujio's friends from high & low the worst who walked around with large fur coats + having motorcycles of their own despite constantly needing to work part time and handing all of their money over to arata later)) but i think that it could totally be used in the context of the narrative for this film

like, amagai grew up spoiling suzaki in a way (chasing off bullies, buying him sodas) which i can assume happened a lot if those cans of sodas became a vessel for their childhood memories and flashbacks. so i don't think it'd be too far-fetched to imagine that gift giving would be stretched to other things as well.

though i feel it wouldn't make sense if it was suzaki asking on his own... in my head i imagine it to be alike to amagai finding something and buying it on a fluke before giving it to suzaki, then later holding it over his head (think of the scene where he says people are only around him for his money, that he doesn't have friends after suzaki asks him if they are)

tldr i don't think they did it on purpose buttt it could open up an interesting dynamic between them when it comes to giving and taking, owing someone, etc if amagai was the one who'd bought it for suzaki

that moment where fujio looks ready to murder amagai after ryo asks him if they can start over and he says 'give me a break' i am head over heels and on the ground

AHHH it was suchhhh a good shot. also highlighted fujio's good nature, being upset on behalf of someone who he was fighting against like a moment ago. kind of upset that the netflix translation ended up being 'that's so stupid,' makes the weight of his words feel lacklustre to me

would have so much fun writing about ryo and amagai's relationship/friendship recovering but their dynamics and everything about them is just so complex it makes me [head in hands]

i get you entirely it is so hard to write them sometimes but it is also the most fun thing ever. going about reconciliation is something i haven't thought about, though, i'm not sure how i would go about it.

i feel amagai would have to commit to the whole idea of getting better and so would ryo but it would also need to be aided by a separation between the two of them so they can work on themselves without making each other worse as they do. i mentioned in an earlier post a while ago that i thought the relationship between them was destructive on both ends.

with amagai, i think it'd be something along the lines of learning to work for himself but also humanize himself and step down from the pedestal he's put himself on. with ryo, i'd imagine that his way of getting better would be moreso about standing on his own two feet away from him.

of course, they coulddd get better alongside one another but i feel it would be very easy for them to fall into those same unhealthy patterns that they're used to because let's be real how many times have you told someone who's been hurting you maliciously for a long time that they've been hurting you and had them immediately apologize, fix their behaviour, and never have a problem again?

tldr i think the idea of reconciliation would be so hard but also very interesting between them.

HEHEH was still stuck on Ryo taking the knife so I cooked this up in my notes app >:D

Ryo's body hurts all over, and as much he wants to, needs to, get over to Amagai, he can't bring himself to move. He's hyper-aware of everything around him: the murmurs from the crowd, Fujio's ragged breathing, his own racing heart, and Amagai's continuous muttering. He can't make out what he's saying, but he doesn't have to strain to recognize the click of a knife being flipped open.

Then, there's footsteps. Urgent, quick, and heavy as Amagai rushes toward Fujio with nothing short of murderous intent.

With energy Ryo didn't know he had, he scrambles onto his feet and is then face to face with Amagai.

The entire gym is silent. Ryo can't hear anything beside his own breathing and his heart pounding in his chest. He's never been this close to Amagai, and all he can see is the deep pools of brown that seem so bright under his platinum hair. They’re the same eyes he used to stare into under the open blue skies so long ago. "Ko-chan..."

Everything shatters. The knife is gone, Amagai is backing away, and Ryo's world is blurring. His eyes never leave Amagai's, even as he gets farther and farther away, his face twisted in what Ryo can only guess is disgust at his current state, at Ryo's failure. He can't stop the hot tears from spilling over, can't stop them from running down his face and the darkness creeping along the edges of his vision as his knees give out.

Even immobile and nothing more than a heap of limbs, Ryo's eyes never leave Amagai's figure. There's something dangerously close to fear on his face as he searches for an escape. Ryo desperately wishes he had the strength to help.

There are steps behind him, and a shadow falls over him. He doesn't know who it is, and he doesn't look even when they press something into his wound; Amagai still has his attention, even if he's Amagai's last priority. "Ko-chan. Please."

He gets nothing as Amagai turns tail and flees, his figure disappearing as the double doors slam shut behind him. Ko-chan. Come back, please.

Amagai doesn't come back.

The pain radiating from his wound is nothing compared to the gaping hole Amagai has left in his chest.

rewatching the movie and what if ryo threw himself in front of amagai's knife instead of grabbing it :))))))

ohhh that would be so fun. i feel it'd also be the point of no return for amagai—happens before the heart wrenching speech that ryo gives that somewhat brings him back to reality for the time being. i think the most amagai would get from that stabbing is that his last line of defence is gone and take the chance to run.

i'd also imagine fujio would leap to the opportunity to help him, especially with something as redeeming as jumping in front of a knife that one of his friends tried wielding against him on ryo's side. all around ideal way for him to slowly get indoctrinated into oya high. i will write something about this maybe you got me thinking now anon...

both! initially watched the movie because yuta was acting in it and then tsukasa drew me in with his cuntress charms and fujio with his generally smiley demeanour and now i am slowly watching thru the series with a friend... tackling the oya high spin offs before getting thru the stuff that came beforehand

Heyyy. So. Your awesome Tsukasa thump fic was amazing. Your ending was ambiguous, like it could go either way from there. I was thinking, would you allow me to use your story as inspiration for one of my own? Because I desperately need a happy ever after, where Tsukasa not only gets rescued but nursed back to health 🥺
