16. Which stereotype about your country you hate the most and which one you somewhat agree with?

Honestly, there are not *that* many stereotypes about us. I suppose I hate the one that we are drunkards, but its more like... It pisses me off because I think its true. Alcoholism is a huge problem here. Also that we are grouchy complainers. I hate it, but we kinda are. 

But I love the stereotype that we are atheists/agnostic because yep, thats what we are. I am very proud of that. (yes, yes, plenty of czech people are believers, but its a minority here.) Its a proud czech historical tradition to hate organized religion and it stuck here to this day. 

21. If you could send two things from your country into space, what would they be? 

I wanted to say Krteček, but that’s already been done!

I honestly can’t think of anything else.

22. What makes you proud about your country? what makes you ashamed?

I am proud that we are still standing strong. I am proud of our amazing language (Ř!!!), our castles and our beautiful nature. Mountains, rivers, forests... I am proud that we are helping each other in these dark times. I am proud of our craftiness and ingenuity. 

I am not very proud of our goverment right now. Or ever. I am ashamed that racism is still common and that sexism is dismissed. I wish LGTB+ had equal rights in all aspects. And I absolutely loathe certain old men who are in charge.

But overall, I love living here. I think our country has future, and that we should be fighting for it.

1. Popiš estetiku své rodné hroudy na rozmezí prokletí starých božstev až něco, co celé prázdniny čekalo v lavici na tvůj návrat. jedno z nejzelenějších panelákových sídlišť, co jsem kdy viděla. oblíbený cíl procházek je areál psychiatrické nemocnice (je tam farma! vypadá to tam jako malé městečko v parku!). pokaždé, když se podívám z okna, vidím tam stejného starého pána, jak venčí psa. je pořád venku? bydlí někde? je to hologram? z místa, kde bydlím, je to pěšky zhruba stejně daleko do penny, lidlu, a billy. o kousek dál je pak další penny (bývalý plus) a další billa (bývalá delvita). každý z členů rodiny má jiný oblíbený obchod, o kterém je přesvědčen, že je markantně blíž než ostatní. možná, že je jejich poloha relativní... 

sídliště už dávno není šedivý. naopak, každý panelák hýří větším či menším počtem barev. výsledný estetický dojem je každý pes jiná ves. když jde člověk sídlištěm dost dlouho, narazí na dům s identickým vzorem a barvami, jako má ten jeho. co by se asi stalo, kdybych vešla dovnitř? najdu tam svého dvojníka? paralelní život? řady plastových oken se mezitím rozzáří rudým odrazem paprsků zapadajícího slunce. 

13. Hříbky, nebo bedly? upřímně řečeno nevím, jestli jsem někdy bedly jedla, takže volím dědečka hříbečka v kategorii gastronomie. bedly ovšem vyhrávají v kategoriích styl, móda, elegance

Well, here we go (in no particular order):

/1/ When I was eleven, my mom and sister convinced me to dye my hair red. It was meant to be a temporary shampoo, only for two or three baths, but it lasted for more than a year and a half.

/2/ I love sleeping at new, unknown and unusual places.

/3/ I've never dated anyone. Partly because I still haven't figured out my sexuality.

/4/ I think iguanas are cute, and I always wanted to have one.

/5/ I don't know how to make friends. It just happens when I'm not paying attention 😅

Sweethearts, @lithialetheia and @moonwich. The idea of this question is really sweet and heartwarming, but it’s also really difficult to answer. Because one, I don’t want to come off as self-indulgent. And second, it’s difficult to pick out five good things that could just easily be classified as “flaws” to someone else’s eyes. It’s so subjective. 

I guess I treasure my sense of loyalty to my friends and my family. Because I don’t usually make a lot of friends, but instead remain close to a few selected people that I love and trust for long-term friendships, hopefully an entire lifetime. So then betraying their trust or love to anyone else just seems like a complete waste of effort in creating friendships to me. I think I’m too loyal to people sometimes, though. It can be toxic.

I’m very honest about how I feel and what I want, I always try my hardest to create non-judging open relationships with my friends, without limitations, so we both feel like we can talk about anything with each other. Hopefully, this makes it easier for others to open up to me. 

My exaggerated sense of loyalty might also be tied to me being very protective of my friends and family, too. I guess it’s less good for me, but more good for my friends to always feel protected and cared for. I’d literary do anything for some people. Some people, not many at all tho. 

I guess, my humor, I’m easygoing and just like to laugh, honestly. 

I dunno what eeeelse.... Argh. I dunno. I like animals? I guess. I like my surname, it means hunter in German, and I feel like it’s pretty accurate to me, since I grew up in a forest and have always been fond of archery.

This was weird to write honestly. It feels weird, and kinda wrong, to indulge in your own “positive” traits. Lol, my dad raised me to be extremely humble, meaning, not really ever saying anything good about yourself hah.

A mix of final exams getting closer, me feeling pretty horrible and the fact that I should have chosen a college by now kinda stops me from having hobbies lately uhhh and if I do stuff I either leave it unfinished or it lands in the trash so I don’t really have things to post?? Idk if I’ll be back with stuff before late May, we’ll seeee
