Is there a military system of some sort in Mythnoir AU? Such as an army and any paramilitary structures (militia and police mostly)?
The Bureau of Vigilance serves as a police/paramilitary! There are multiple departments, some handle domestic disputes, some are the Special Weapons and Tactics-team, some are investigative, etc.. Their district is only the city limits (which goes much farther than anyone thinks), but they’re the ones who keep law and order.
As The Vigilantor, TB inhabits this special kind of position within the Vigilance Bureau that interacts and commands the other departments--like a Chief Investigator who is able to lead inquiries and recruit their help for his inquiries. Such as, for example, if he suspects a building to be harboring an illegal glamor ring, he can call the SWAT-team in to make a raid. He’s not the Vigilance Councillor and so technically not the one in charge, but the Councillor doesn’t give a damn what he does so long as TB doesn’t come after him.
Outside of the city, there’s likely regular human militaries and the human police districts probably overlap to a degree with the Vigilance Bureau’s territory.
