𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑹𝑶𝑶𝑴 𝑹𝑬𝑬𝑲𝑬𝑫 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑳 𝑺𝑪𝑬𝑵𝑻 𝑶𝑭 𝑺𝑬𝑿. Isa lay gasping on the bed, soaked through with sweat, coming down from the high of yet another climax. There'd been half an attempt to keep count, but somewhere after five, she was too drunk on their lovemaking to remember what number came next.

Something Unknowable danced in the air around them, summoned by Roland's occult workings that she still didn't quite understand. What she had learned well, however, was the beastly shape of her husband-to-be, and where he loved best to be touced. His sharpened teeth had left marks on her pale skin, and she'd finally gotten a good look at those handsome antlers. Truth be told, she felt half an animal herself, snarling and groaning just moments ago, unable to remember anything but Roland's name as he plunged into her again and again.

Slick lust trailed from her cunt, still aching with desire, and her thighs twitched even as she gestured to the cup by the side of the bed in a silent request for water. It was only a moment's reprieve, a chance for Isa to catch her breath before they started up once more.

She downed the water with sloven abandon, letting it dribble down her chin, cooling her skin as much as allowing Roland to watch the droplets trail down the length of her chest and admire his handiwork.

"Then by all means, we must continue," she panted with a laugh, handing the cup back to Roland before falling back on the bed. A pale hand snaked between her legs to spread her lips and let him see her red, weeping center. "Come here, my love. I can still feel my legs."

Listen. Polly is a romantic through and through. She's not immune to the idea of bodice-busters, even if she's not a big reader, and can't help but imagine a big strong warrior coming to take her away and make her their wife, where their rough hands are shockingly gentle on her naked skin.

Obviously, this is entirely unrealistic -- to start with, Polly can't leave her shop for a few days without getting restless -- but a girl can dream of her huge muscly warrior of indeterminate gender, with a sword or a longbow or a viking helmet, can't she?

okay so, positive non-anon: i really like your writing style & the characters you choose because you literally bring your prose to visual life. these characters are poised, nuanced, and show a facet of their personality diamond that is either very slim in their media, or only a fractal that blooms like a shard of a seed in good soil. it's the old-fashioned term of Gothic that reminds me of silty, dying roses and the comfort of an old book, Gale, it's beautiful.

i can’t BELIEVE this shushhhh. i’ve shot myself in the foot with that post, but i thank you kindly for your sweet words… . now it’s my turn. we’ve been mutuals for quite a while now and your dedication to roland is astounding !  you’ve got such a poetic, beautiful lilt to your writing – it feels oftentimes otherworldly, timeless in nature, which is as i believe you intend it to be. i’m definitely not as eloquent with words as yourself or others on this website may be, but i thoroughly enjoy every interaction with you (both in-character and out-of-character) and hope that i can convey that in some measurable way. your writing makes me think, makes me feel, and each interaction is a new journey, spun by a great storyteller such as yourself. if anyone is not yet following your blog, they would be wise to do so.
