Uh, kinda random question but can you give me tips on how to shade because i just do where it feels right l
Okokokok hiii!! Sorry for such a late reply ಥ╭╮ಥ, I was busy but I can try and give U some (keep in mind the way I shade changes every two seconds)
- try and pick a light source, like a direction where U want your light to be coming from (eg. Above, below, left right) and think about how that would impact the contours of the face and any surrounding fabric or object. Try and analyse your drawing and figure out the most prominent features that the light will settle on alot.
-When it comes to actual rendering I prefer to lay down basic shadows (ALWAYS KEEPING KEY LIGHTING IN MIND) Like this for example..
Then I like to go in with a colour mix oil pastel brush and blend in those colours without losing all the hard lines, like so:
Lastly I go in with Finnishing touches and colour my line art (using clipping layer) and adding harder define shadows and brighter hard highlights! (Also a watermark) So this is Smth I'm left with!!
