Moralize
Speaking of WIPs, my present one is the only one that actually has something resembling a finished plot. ... And I still kinda want to redo it. The placeholder title is Moralize but that needs to change.
It’s loosely based on the fables of Aesop with an aesthetic nodding to Beatrix Potter. ... Basically, Fantasy Regency. Character design has been a lot of fun so far.
So. There are three bandit factions contesting for territory.
First, there's the Lion and his pride (the Leopard, the Lynx, the Tiger and the Panther.) The local townsfolk (the Sheep, the Goat, the Donkey, the Horse, the Bull and the Hen) are protected by the Wolf and her (his?) pack (the Dog and the Jackal,) but there's an upstart She-Bear causing trouble for both groups, all by her lonesome! And the townspeople are caught in the crossfire.
Now, in the pride's territory is some great treasure or another. The Fox, master of a thieves guild, wants it. He challenges a number of aspirant thieves to obtain it while the Lion, Wolf and Bear are entrenched in conflict.
These thieves are the Crow (a masterful thief and rival for his place as guildmaster,) the Hare, the Mouse and the Weasel. None of these thieves- save the Crow- are aware that they've been contacted by the same boss and compete with one another, hindering their own progress- except for the Mouse. She is small and quiet, new to this whole thief business, and just wants the job done and doesn't get involved in politics.
The Crow is just in it for the challenge- she's a master thief and all, she can get other jobs- and the Hare doesn't give the Mouse a second look, but the Weasel in particular seems to have it out for the rodent.
None of the four know that the Fox has hired a mercenary to cause more trouble for the Lion, Wolf and Bear- the Viper. The Mouse discovers this and ends up rescuing the Lion from her, and in gratitude, he saves her at one point or another from the Weasel.
The Viper, meanwhile, reminds the Fox of her true untrustworthy nature and takes the treasure for herself. After all, she was only contracted to deal with the Lion. The Fox never said anything about interfering further, and so the chase is on again!

Extra case: Supercom moralize …
The Superintendency of Information and Communication ( Supercom ) , chaired by Carlos Ochoa, again ruling against newspaper Extra . Accused of sexist discrimación space for its weekly “sexy Lunes” . Its resolution , a document of 11 pages riddled with moralistic views expressed in a supposedly semiotic language , raises a theoretical interpretation to the category of jurisprudence. (more…)
