Back in October I laminated the two long stretchers for my workbench. Now that other things are sorted out I'm back into it, again...
Today I found a little bit of time to cut the tenons for each end. It's a small but significant step forward. Next time I'll cut the mortises in the legs. Cutting the tenons was straight forward, the stretchers are laminated using three lengths of wood, so it was just a matter of cutting down the outer pieces to the required length, which for my workbench is 4' along the upper edge, a little more than 12" shorter than in the plans, after all - my workshop is quite tiny lol.
A few weeks I go I started laminating the stretchers between the legs, but today added a third layer to bring them up to suitable thickness.
Oh, and I added a repro Harley-Davidson sign to the collection on my ceiling too!
