Laura watching Morbius (real)
i think i might be in some kind of love with you. ❜
"And by all accounts, that is the most direct expression of emotion I have elicited from you since our vows," Wybie said, his voice as monotone as usual. "What did I do to deserve that?" It was the twinkle in his left eye, the organic one, that truly gave away that this was his equivalent of teasing, something that a casual acquaintance might not catch but something that his wife certainly would.
Wife. That was a word that still sent the metaphoric wheels in Wybie's head turning. Approximately fifteen months ago, he'd been single with no prospects, primarily because he'd been emotionally compromised with his best friend without fully realizing that fact. Now they were married with two six-month old twins sleeping soundly in a crib just a few feet away from them, cuddled up in a bed they shared. Life surely was strange, but he knew he wouldn't want it any other way. There wasn't any such thing as 'fate' or 'destiny', but there had to be some variables unaccounted for that made some people, for lack of better term, as lucky as Wybie was.
"For the record, there are emotions inside of me that pertain to you that might also be commonly referred to as 'some kind of love'," he smiled as he snuggled up against her. "Of course, others might argue that it's just a chemical reaction and that you coincidentally happen to be physiologically what my nucleus accumbens is looking for, and that I'm addicted to the dopamine that --" Just as Wybie hypothesized, Morana shut him up with a kiss, and he smiled into it. He pulled her on top of him and started to make quick work of her top when their little girl started crying as if on cue. It was such a strange phenomenon, how since their birth, one or both of the twins could sense when their parents were about to become intimate and they intervened every time.
With a sigh, Wybie shook his head. "I'll get them this time," he offered. He could be annoyed that he and Morana hadn't had much of a chance to be together as a couple since their experimental relationship had become legal, but it was hard to be anything other than overjoyed when he was holding someone that was half him, half Morana, and completely perfect.
My OC Morbie
Temporal Concern, acrylic on wood & bristol paper | Columbines: Foolishness, folly. In purple: resolution. In red: anxious, trembling. (x)
She’s done! I don’t do much traditional art because I’m a digital baby, but this past year I’ve been forcing myself out of my warm, glitchy tubes and into the violent sunlight of physical paint. I have a lot to learn, clearly, but I’m happy with this piece.
my OCs Morbie and Luca (previously Nature), only because I haven’t drawn them in so long
