you would like to know that individuals with close bonds will exchange their feathers with each other. it can be done in the form of donation of a flight feather (swapping feather from one's wing and attaching it to other's, a procedure that is used in avian veterinary care) or any other way of gifting a part of yourself to your choosen person. my series shows the beginning of boys' relationship with each other but you can observe it in the canyon art already. also I heard that peacock feathers make efficient fishing lures.

Okay I knew about feather swapping (which is extremely cool, not to mention adorable?) but I didn't know about peacock feathers & lures!

On the topic of peacocks, they are such cool & pretty birds I cant-

I found a piece of foam glued to a frame at a thrift store, it had small peacock feathers stuck into it . I think it was supposed to be a wall piece but honestly it looked like a pillow and the foam was breaking down so there were feathers all over the shelf.

The staff let me take it for free 🙂‍↕️

I spent an entire day just going "oooh pretty feather"

Blue pile, green pile, blue green pile, green blue pile, fancy tail pile, brownish pile-

I laid them flat in a frame and UHG when the sun hits them-

OH AND I HAVE SO MANY FEATHERS

I pick them up whenever I find them- wash and dry and brush carefully with a toothbrush -

The blue jay family across the alley left me some of their feathers too.

I treasure them.

Those jerks take a quarter of my paycheck for just peanuts and feed but God I love them
