It’s not like John and Mary is one of the strongest Deancas mirrors besides Sam and Eileen. It’s not like there’s a direct parallel drawn between the story Dean tells Mary of how she met John and they bonded over their mutual love of Led Zeppelin and Dean—after Cas’ halting first “I love you”—giving Cas a mixtape full of Zeppelin songs later that very same season. It’s not like the episode in S14 where John returned and they had their reconciliation was mirrored with a f/f couple so starkly mirroring Dean and Cas that it was INSANE. Nope. It’s absolutely none of these things and more that are currently making me grin from ear to ear.
