I’ve been digging my own grave for years. Sometimes people see me digging. They stop and they ask why, though few understand. Some scold me and others take a moment to hug me and bring me something warm to drink. Some pat me on the back and shovel right next to me. I’ve had plenty of help digging this grave of mine. When I’m tired of digging I am reminded that this is the safest home I will ever have, cradled inside the earth.
